    摘要: A display device and a method for manufacturing the same, for discharging static electricity generated in the manufacturing process of a display device using a mechanical shutter and thus preventing the mechanical shutter from being deformed by the static electricity are provided. The display device includes a TFT substrate having thin film transistors thereon respectively provided with a plurality of mechanical shutters located in a matrix and also having terminals thereon for supplying a signal to the thin film transistors from outside; and a counter substrate joined with the TFT substrate. Along at least one of an edge of the TFT substrate and an edge of the counter substrate, an injection opening for injecting an insulating liquid into an area between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate and a ground electrode for covering at least a part of an inner surface of the injection opening are provided.

    摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for providing a cascode driver circuit for providing positive and negative polarities of two or more voltages at an output node. The voltages provided by the cascode driver circuit can be used to provide voltages to various interconnects and terminals of the display apparatus. The cascode driver circuit includes a first circuit for providing a positive polarity of two or more voltages to an output node via a first set of cascode transistors and a second circuit for providing negative polarities of the two or more voltages via a second set of cascode transistors. The driver circuit includes body-effect mitigation circuitry for reducing the impact of body-effect on the performance of the driver circuit. The driver circuit also includes circuitry for reducing substrate leakage current.

    摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus incorporating display elements having light modulators that can operate in more than two states. In some implementations, the light modulator assembly includes an electrostatic actuator that includes a load electrode coupled to a shutter and a drive electrode set positioned proximate to the load electrode. The drive electrode set includes a plurality of discrete portions that are configured to drive the light modulator assembly to a plurality of different light modulator states. In some such implementations, the portions of the drive electrode set are positioned opposite to corresponding regions of the load electrode. In some implementations, the portions are arranged such that the portions are configured to electrostatically engage with adjacent regions of the load electrode.
