摘要: Apparatus and methods are described for use with feces of a subject that are disposed within a toilet bowl. One or more light sensors receive light from the toilet bowl, while the feces are disposed within the toilet bowl. A computer processor detects a set of three or more spectral components that have a characteristic relationship with each other in a light spectrum of bile, by analyzing the received light, and detects a presence of bile within the feces, in response to detecting the set of three or more spectral components. The computer processor generates an output in response thereto. Other applications are also described.

摘要: Devices and methods are provided for sealing a catheter insertion site to maintain sterility. In one aspect of the invention, mounting handle/dressing assemblies and kits are disclosed for creating a sterile sealed environment around a catheter insertion site. For example, the dressings of the present invention can be pre-disposed around a mounting handle and connector. The connector is joined to the proximal end of the catheter and then the dressing can be slid along the mounting handle until it surrounds the insertion site. Once the dressing is adhesively applied to the skin and locked into place by an annular fitting between the dressing and the connector, the handle can be removed and discarded, leaving only the dressing, and catheter connector in place. The catheter connector preferably has a needle-free connector port at its proximal end for connection to IV lines or other infusion devices.

The base block has a longitudinal direction and a width direction and includes a recessed part in which the heat receiving tubular portion is housed and a pair of wall parts projecting along an outer circumferential surface of the heat receiving tubular portion from width direction both sides of the recessed part, and a container of the heat pipe is caulked and fixed by the recessed part and the pair of wall parts and includes a projecting shape part projecting in a direction opposite to a direction of the caulking between distal end portions of the pair of wall parts.

摘要: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for localizing lesions within a patient's body, e.g., within a breast. The system may include one or more markers implantable within or around the target tissue region, and a probe for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals to detect the one or more markers. During use, the marker(s) are into a target tissue region, and the probe is placed against the patient's skin to detect and localize the marker(s). A tissue specimen, including the lesion and the marker(s), is then removed from the target tissue region based at least in part on the localization information from the probe.

The elevated UAV station includes an elevated platform and a conveyance device configured to raise a payload to the elevated platform. The elevated unmanned UAV station may further include a launch device configured to cause a takeoff of a UAV from the elevated platform. The elevated UAV station may further include a recovery device configured to cause a controlled landing of the UAV at the elevated platform. The elevated UAV station may be associated with a payload housing structure to establish a system for payload storage and launch.

摘要: A switch-cabinet system comprises a base module with a base housing and at least one functional module with a functional housing. A functional connection element is arranged in the functional housing in the area of a first through-opening on a bottom side of the functional housing.
