    Abstract: A disc brake device is provided with a first pressing member disposed between a caliper and a pair of brake pads. The first pressing member has: a base section mounted to the caliper; a pair of plate spring sections extending from the base section toward one circumferential side of a disc rotor and toward the pair of brake pads and pressing the pair of brake pads inward radially; and an extension section extending from the base section toward said one circumferential side and supported by the caliper from the outside radially of the disc rotor.

    Abstract: A spool valve V1 includes a valve element 11 and a cylinder 12 having a bore 12a which accommodates the valve element 11 to be movable in an axial direction. In this spool valve V1, when the valve element 11 in an initial position moves in the axial direction in relation to the cylinder 12, a supply valve port Vi formed between the valve element 11 and the cylinder 12 opens, whereby a working fluid is introduced from a hydraulic pressure source into a hydraulic chamber through the supply valve port Vi. A throttle portion O1 is provided in a fluid channel formed on the hydraulic chamber side of the supply valve port Vi. The throttle portion O1 is configured such that in a throttle valid region which extends from the initial position to a position where the amount of axial movement of the valve element 11 from the initial position becomes equal to a predetermined value, the area of the opening formed between the valve element 11 and the cylinder 12 is constant, and in a throttle invalid region where the amount of axial movement of the valve element 11 exceeds the predetermined value, the area of the opening increases. Thus, it becomes possible to restrain occurrence of oil impact within the hydraulic chamber to which the working fluid is supplied through the spool valve V1.

The upper-limit deceleration amount is set to increase while an elapsed time increases since the start of generating the braking force, at least after a predetermined first time has passed since the start of generating the braking force.

    Abstract: An abnormality monitoring circuit of an ECU includes a microcomputer, a reset circuit that resets the microcomputer, a monitor circuit that monitors the operation of the microcomputer, and an output circuit that activates an external actuator. The monitor circuit has an abnormality decision signal output section that outputs an abnormality decision signal to the output circuit when not being able to confirm that an output of a normal monitor signal of the microcomputer has occurred within an abnormality decision time. The monitor circuit has a reset decision signal output section that outputs a reset decision signal to the reset circuit when not being able to confirm that an output of the normal monitor signal of the microcomputer has occurred within a BIST (Built In Self Test) completion time of the microcomputer and a reset decision time set to a time longer than the abnormality decision time.

    Abstract: Electric parking brake devices are configured such that a parking lever is driven by an electric actuator. The electric actuator is provided with: an electric motor drivable in a forward/reverse direction and operationally controlled by a motor control unit according to rotational loads; a conversion mechanism capable of converting a rotational motion into a linear motion, moving the parking lever from a return position toward an operating position through forward rotation of the electric motor, and moving the parking lever from the operating position toward the return position through the reverse rotation of the electric motor; and a load applying mechanism (a stopper and a disc spring assembly) for applying a predetermined rotational load to the electric motor by driving a constituent member of the conversion mechanism after the parking lever is moved from the operating position to the return position through the reverse rotation of the electric motor.
