Abstract: The present invention provides an anion-exchange composite membrane comprising a copolymer containing a vinylbenzyl trialkylammonium salt repeating unit, a styrene repeating unit and a divinylbenzene derived repeating unit; an olefin additive; a plasticizer; and a polyvinyl halide polymer.The anion-exchange composite membrane comprising a copolymer containing a vinylbenzyl trialkylammonium salt repeating unit, a styrene repeating unit and a divinylbenzene derived repeating unit; an olefin additive; a plasticizer; and polyvinylidene fluoride of the present invention not only displays low electrical resistance, excellent ion exchange capability, excellent ionic conductivity, excellent mechanical properties, excellent chemical properties, and processability, but also is easy to regulate its ion exchange capacity and ionic conductivity. Also, the composite membrane of the invention is easier to produce and cheaper to manufacture than the conventional anion-exchange composite membrane.

Also, the composite membrane of the invention is easier to produce and cheaper to manufacture than the conventional cation-exchange composite membrane.

Abstract: In accordance with the present subject matter, there is provided a process for preparing a furan derivative, the process comprising the steps of contacting a sugar with a monophasic organic solvent to obtain a reaction mixture; and subjecting the reaction mixture to a temperature in the range from 100° C. to 180° C., in presence of an acid catalyst, for a time period in the range of 0.5 min to 4.0 h to obtain at least 70% conversion of the sugar to a single furan derivative, wherein the acid catalyst is selected from the group consisting of homogenous acid catalyst, heterogenous solid acid catalyst, and combinations thereof. There is also provided a process for preparation of a heterogenous solid acid catalyst.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pyrimidine-2,4-diamine derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of cancer comprising the same as an effective ingredient. A compound according to the present invention has the good effect of inhibiting anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) activity, whereby a therapeutic effect on cancer cells having an anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) fusion protein such as EML4-ALK, NPM-ALK, etc. can be enhanced and it is expected that a recurrence of cancer will be effectively inhibited. Abstract: A carbon nitride heterogeneous catalyst containing rhodium, a method for preparing the catalyst, and a method for preparing acetic acid using the catalyst is disclosed. The heterogeneous catalyst is characterized in that the rhodium metal is contained in carbon nitride which is a support insoluble in a liquid solvent, such as water or alcohol. Thus, the catalyst can easily be separated from a resulting product even by a simple process such as filtration. Accordingly, the carbon nitride heterogeneous catalyst exhibits excellent long-term stability and activity by being capable of overcoming the disadvantages of the method using a conventional homogeneous catalyst and minimizing the phenomenon of rhodium leaching, compared to the results of the conventional homogeneous catalytic reactions. The catalyst can thus be effectively used for the preparation of acetic acid by a carbonylation reaction between methanol and carbon monoxide.

Abstract: Disclosed are novel indanone derivatives, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof or enantiomers, a preparation method thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of viral diseases, comprising the same as an active ingredient. The indanone derivatives have excellent inhibitory activity against picornaviruses including coxsackie-, entero-, echo-, Polio-, and rhinoviruses, as well as exhibiting low cytotoxicity, so that they can be useful as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of viral diseases including poliomyelitis, paralysis, acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, viral meningitis, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, vesicular disease, hepatitis A, myositis, myocarditis, pancreatitis, diabetes, epidemic myalgia, encephalitis, cold, herpangina, foot-and-mouth disease, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, sinusitis or otitis media.
