Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel structure of picture elements in current programming-type semiconductor devices, and in particular, the structure of picture elements of an active matrix organic light emitting diode (OLED) display. The device makes a self-compensation for OLED current deviations due to the deterioration in threshold voltage and uneven electric characteristic in thin film transistors. The invention also provides a method for driving a data driver capable of compensating for the uneven electric characteristic of thin film transistors in the driver for driving picture elements in the current programming-type active matrix OLED display device.

A fixing unit fixing an image on a paper and an image-forming apparatus having the same are provided. The fixing unit includes a heat roller, pressure rollers, a bracket, springs, and a paper guide. The heat roller has a heat source therein and the pressure rollers face the heat roller to form fixing nips. The bracket rotatably supports the pressure rollers and is also adapted to pivot. The springs elastically pressurize the bracket to closely attach the pressure rollers on the heat roller and the paper guide guides a paper so that a paper jam may not occur between the pressure rollers.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a beta-keto ester compound of formula (1), which is an intermediate for the synthesis of quinolone antibiotics. Particularly, the present invention is characterized by the reaction of an organo nitrile compound with a salt of mono-alkyl malonate in the presence of metal salt, and so the reaction is easy to control due to its endothermic nature, and is devoid of lachrymatory reagents with excellent reproducibility. Subsequent in situ hydrolysis in the presence of aqueous acid solution provided the compound of formula (1).

An apparatus for easing an impact on a boom of an excavator and a method of controlling the same are disclosed, which can minimize the vibration occurring in the boom due to the impact on a boom cylinder by actively controlling an amount of hydraulic fluid being supplied to the boom cylinder when the operation of the boom cylinder is suddenly stopped due to an operator's sudden manipulation of an operation lever for a working device. The apparatus includes first and second hydraulic pumps; a boom cylinder; a main control valve; an operation lever for supplying pilot signal pressure to a spool of the main control valve when an operator manipulates the operation lever; operation lever detection means for detecting boom up and boom down signal pressures according to an amount of manipulation of the operation lever; boom cylinder pressure detection means for detecting pressures generated in a large chamber and a small chamber of the boom cylinder; a controller for calculating and outputting a control signal of the main control valve if the boom cylinder has been suddenly stopped; and boom vibration preventing means for controlling the pilot signal pressure being supplied from the second hydraulic pump to the main control valve.

A method of controlling power in a Base Station (BS) of a cellular system using wired Relay Stations (RSs) includes the RSs and the BS individually performing scheduling of packets to be transmitted to Mobile Stations (MSs) in respective areas of coverage, the BS increasing a difference between a sum of signals to be transmitted and a sum of interference signals according to a scheduling result, guaranteeing a minimum amount of data to be received by each MS, and calculating a power allocation solution of each MS, which satisfies a condition that the power allocation solution is in a range of allocatable power, which was pre-set by each of the RSs and the BS, and the RSs and the BS performing sub-channel allocation and power allocation according to the power allocation solution satisfying the condition.
Abstract:
A self-healing passive optical network is disclosed. The network includes a central office and a remote node connected to the central office through a main optical fiber. The remote node transmits one portion of power of the upstream optical signal, which has been input from each of the optical network units, to the central office, and returning a remaining portion of the power of the upstream optical signal to the optical network unit. The network also includes a plurality of optical network units connected to the remote node through a plurality of distribution optical fibers. Each of the optical network units transmits an upstream optical signal to the remote node through the directly connected distribution optical fiber, and detects abnormality occurrences from a state of the upstream optical signal returning from the remote node.
