A method of controlling a portable communications device with an image projecting capability includes: controlling an image projecting unit to project an output screen of an application program, and controlling a touch control display unit to display an operation interface set up according to characteristics of the application program; and in response to actuation of the operation interface, controlling the image projecting unit such that the output screen projected thereby is a result of interaction between the operation interface and the application program.

An image extraction apparatus comprising a GPS receiver is provided. The apparatus comprises a lens, a sensor, a display device, a storage medium comprising an ecological database, an input device, a GPS receiver, a DSP unit, and a microprocessor. When a shooting signal from the input device is received, the microprocessor enables the sensor to receives an ecological image through the lens and transmits the ecological image to the DSP unit, obtains longitude and latitude corresponding to a current location of the image extraction apparatus through the GPS receiver, retrieves ecological data from the ecological database according to the longitude and latitude, enables the DSP unit to compare the ecological image and the ecological data, and displays comparison results on the display device.

Systems and methods are provided that facilitate the formation of micro-mechanical structures and related systems on a laminated substrate. More particularly, a micro-mechanical device and a three-dimensional multiple frequency antenna are provided for in which the micro-mechanical device and antenna, as well as additional components, can be fabricated together concurrently on the same laminated substrate. The fabrication process includes a low temperature deposition process allowing for deposition of an insulator material at a temperature below the maximum operating temperature of the laminated substrate, as well as a planarization process allowing for the molding and planarizing of a polymer layer to be used as a form for a micro-mechanical device.

A method for cleaning the noise in an image obtains an image having an interested pixel and a predetermined number of neighboring pixels for each of red, green and blue, then calculates an adjusted value for the interested pixel based on the existing value of the interested pixel and the values of the predetermined number of neighboring pixels. This calculation is carried out for each of red, green and blue using the same predetermined number of neighboring pixels.

A shock-absorbing frame for a bicycle includes a first body, a middle body, a shock-absorbing device, a second body, and two holders. Thus, the middle body and the second body are rotated on the opposite directions, and the drive chain wheel and the driven chain wheel are moved upward and forward simultaneously, so that the distance between the drive chain wheel and the driven chain wheel is kept at a constant, thereby preventing the chain mounted between the drive chain wheel and the driven chain wheel from becoming loosened or detached, so that the chain is mounted between the drive chain wheel and the driven chain wheel rigidly and stably without detachment so as to protect the rider's safety.

The present invention discloses a transflective mode color liquid crystal display, whose white backlight source is composed of several narrowband monochromatic light sources. A color filter for displaying colors is designed to match the wavelength of each of the monochromatic light sources so that the color filter can let a monochromatic light source of one color be transmitted, while selectively absorb the wavelengths of the monochromatic light sources of other colors. The present invention can achieve high color saturation at the backlight mode while maintaining high reflectance.
