Abstract:
A pitching practice apparatus includes a frame unit having a rectangular frame member, X-axis and Y-axis sensor units mounted on the frame member, a control unit connected to the sensor units and to a sound generating device, and a net body provided on the frame unit. The sensor units are operable so as to form sampling regions for sensing entry of a ball into the frame member. The control unit determines position of the ball entering into the frame member, and compares the ball position with preset parameters to determine whether the ball is a good ball or a foul ball. Ball information determined by the control unit is shown on a display device. The sound generating device is used to generate a sound output corresponding to status of the ball that was thrown into the frame member as determined by the control unit.
Abstract:
A display controller and a related method for calibrating display driving voltages according to input resistance of a monitor. The display controller has a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) for converting a display data into a corresponding display driving voltage. The DAC has a current mirror circuit for converting the display data to an output current in proportion to a reference current according to a mirror ratio, and a voltage calibration circuit for adjusting the mirror ratio according to the display driving voltage and a predetermined display driving voltage to make the display driving voltage approach the predetermined display driving voltage with an adjustment of the output current.
Abstract:
A method including the step of providing a substrate having a contact pad, and an under bump metallurgy overlying the contact pad, and a photoresist layer overlying the under bump metallurgy, and wherein the photoresist layer has an opening defined therein down to the under bump metallurgy and aligned with the contact pad. Pretreating the substrate with the first wetting solution prior to plating a first seed layer over the under bump metallurgy. Thereafter, plating a first seed layer is plated onto the under bump metallurgy.
Abstract:
A cover assembly that is equipped with a pivotable handle for sealing a vacuum conduit opening is provided. The cover assembly is constructed generally by a cover body and a pivotable handle resting in a recess in a top surface of the cover body. The cover body is constructed by an upper annular portion and a lower annular portion integrally formed or joined together. The upper annular portion has an outside diameter that is larger than an outside diameter of the conduit opening, while the lower annular portion has an outside diameter that is smaller than an inside diameter of the conduit opening for sealing the conduit opening when the lower annular portion of the cover body is inserted into the conduit opening, a bottom surface of the upper annular portion sealingly engages the end surface of the conduit opening. The upper annular portion may further include a recess in a top surface for concealing the pivotable handle therein. The pivotable handle of generally elongated rectangular shape has an elongated slot opening formed therethrough in a longitudinal direction. A finger grip is provided at one end of the handle such that when the elongated slot opening slidingly engages a pin mounted in a horizontal position in the recess, the handle rests horizontally in the recess when not in use, and stands vertically in the recess when pulled up by a sliding engagement between the elongated slot opening and the horizontally mounted pin.
Abstract:
An air cylinder apparatus for a pneumatically driven power tool includes a unitary outer cylinder member, which has a bearing plate and a hollow cylindrical wall. A cylindrical chamber is formed eccentrically in the cylindrical wall. A bearing member is mounted removably on an end of the cylindrical wall. A cylindrical inner wall member is press fitted within the cylindrical wall of the outer cylinder member, and has two spaced adjacent axial sides that define an open-ended axial slot therebetween. The inner wall member can be compressed in a radial direction for removal from the outer cylinder member. Because the outer cylinder member is molded, the power tool can be manufactured easily and conveniently.
Abstract:
A self-detachable sinker assembly for fishing sport, permitting stuck sinkers, attached at one end of a fishing line, to be readily released from the underwater obstacles so that the fishing line can be saved without being cut or broken; and by easy replacement of new set of sinkers can be fishing person resume the fishing game again almost in no time, the sinker assembly includes an elongate buckle belt made of flexible material, and a sinker in oval shape with a longitudinal groove disposed across the central portion thereof on each surface so that the buckle belt can be engaged in the grooves as the belt is fixed peripherally around the oval-shaped sinker by a number of protruding buckle members disposed at one end of the belt and engaged in a number of corresponding buckle holes disposed at the opposite end thereof, permitting the joint of the two ends thereof in a loop form with the oval sinker wrapped therein; on the same surface and at the middle of the belt are provided a pair of L-shaped attachment hooks which can be engaged with a pair of attachment blocks of another belt disposed on the similar end as the buckle holes disposed with the holes placed therebetween so that the sinker assembly can be joined one by one by engaging the L-shaped hook members with the attachment blocks of next buckle belt; once the sinker gets stuck by underwater obstacles, by pulling the fishing line up, the force will make the buckled belt open and the sinker separate therefrom. The flexible belt will expand into a straight form, permitting the fishing line to set free with more ease from the underwater obstacles such as rocks or plants.

Abstract:
The present invention discloses a micro LED structure including a first semiconductor layer, a first electrode, a second electrode, and an active layer. The first semiconductor layer has two opposite sides defined as a first surface and a second surface. The first semiconductor layer has a doped region located therein and exposed on the first surface. A pn junction is formed between the doped region and the first semiconductor layer. The first electrode and the second electrode, located on the first surface, are capable of electrically connecting to the first semiconductor layer and the doped region respectively. The active layer is adjacent to the second surface. Wherein the first semiconductor layer is a first doping type, and the doped region is a second doping type different from the first doping type, and the first semiconductor layer and the pn junction are located at identical side of the active layer.
Abstract:
A device for monitoring body fluid discharge almost in real time is provided, the device includes a base, a motor, a catheter holder, and a liquid level sensor. The motor is fixed on the base and includes an output shaft. The catheter holder is connected to the output shaft and is rotatable relative to the base by the output shaft. The catheter holder includes a curved holding chamber with two openings containing a catheter. The liquid level sensor is disposed at one of the openings for detecting a liquid level of body fluid in the catheter and such level is recorded when a fully-filled catheter is automatically tipped and emptied into a collecting bag. A method for monitoring body fluid discharge using the device is also provided.
