摘要： An ink-jet recording apparatus ejects droplets of a recording-improvement liquid on a boundary line between two different color portions of an image by using an ink-jet recording head. The ink-jet recording head comprises a group of nozzles for ejecting the recording-improvement liquid which is responsible for precipitating or condensing a coloring substance in the ink. Accordingly, a high-quality image that comprises black-color portion with a high image density without causing any feathering and multiple-color portions without a spread of ink can be obtained.

摘要： A recording head includes a liquid ejecting outlet, a liquid passage communicating with the ejection outlet, and a heat generating resistor for supplying heat to the liquid in a heat acting portion in the liquid to create a bubble in the liquid passage to eject the liquid through the ejection outlet. A cross-sectional area of the liquid passage increases from the heat acting zone toward the ejection outlet, and this improves performance while also improving head durability.

摘要： This invention relates to an ink jet recording apparatus and a recording method for recording images of high dignity with the amount of ink placed per unit area of a recording medium being always kept constant even if the resolvability when recording is effected changes. When the amount of ink of an ink droplet discharged from a recording head is constant (25 pl), the average number of recorded dots conformity to the resolvability is found on the basis thereof, and the number of recordable dots is found from this average number of dots. The difference between this number of actually recorded dots and the average number of recorded dots is adjusted by reducing the value of recording data in advance.

摘要： An information recording-reproduction method wherein: upon reproducing, recorded information corresponding to a predetermined number of sectors from the leading sector of each of a plurality of information tracks on an optical disk is preliminarily stored on a buffer memory, and during a period in which the optical pickup is shifted to another information track, the recording information, stored in the buffer memory, is reproduced; and upon recording, during a period in which the optical pickup is shifted to another information track, recording information is temporarily stored in the buffer memory, and after completion of the recording, the recording information is recorded on the optical disk. In this method, information tracks, which are formed on the optical disk discontinuously with one .another, are regarded as if they were continuous tracks, and the apparent recording and reproducing operation is carried out continuously.

摘要： A copying machine records an image on a recording sheet through the use of an ink donor sheet with thermally transferable ink. The copying machine includes a platen of glass for supporting an original to be copied, a scanner unit movable reciprocally relative to the platen for reading a series of lines on the original and for generating an image signal for each line, a thermal head having a heating region for selectively generating thermal pulses in response to the image signal from the scanner unit, an ink donor sheet supply assembly for supplying the thermal head with an ink donor sheet coated with thermally transferable ink which can be fluidized or sublimable upon being heated, a recording sheet supply assembly for supplying a recording sheet in the vicinity of the thermal head, a contacting assembly for bringing the supplied recording sheet into intimate contact with a heating region of the thermal head with the ink donor sheet interposed between the thermal head and the recording sheet, and a recording sheet discharging assembly for discharging the recording sheet peeled off the ink donor sheet after the image has been recorded on the recording sheet.
