摘要: In a clutch cover assembly, a regulating mechanism allows a fulcrum ring to move in an axial direction away from a pressure plate in response to wear of a friction facing, but limits amount of movement in accordance with the amount of wear. The regulating mechanism includes a bolt and a bushing. The bolt is fixed to a second side face of the pressure plate and extends axially. The bushing is engaged with the bolt by the friction force. In an alternate embodiment, an urging mechanism of the clutch cover assembly urges a fulcrum ring away from the pressure plate. The fulcrum ring is formed with a plurality of first inclined faces which engage second inclined faces formed on a wedge part. A friction plate is disposed between the pressure plate and the wedge part limiting movement of the wedge part.

摘要: The diaphragm spring of the friction clutch is provided with a negative spring property region, for providing a spring force required for engaging the clutch disk between the pressure plate and the flywheel, which progressively diminishes with an increase in a clutch release stroke to a level smaller than a spring force provided by the return spring for the pressure plate. Thus, the reaction force applied to the clutch release assembly at the time of partially engaging the clutch is significantly reduced. In particular, this arrangement is highly suitable for incorporating a wear compensating arrangement which comprises a slide ring assembly which urges a support point of thereof abutting the diaphragm spring toward the pressure plate, and a wear detecting member which is frictionally engaged by the clutch cover and thereby restricts a movement of the support point of the slide ring assembly toward the pressure plate, the frictional force being greater than a normal spring force applied by the diaphragm spring but is smaller than a level of the spring force which will be reached when a wear of the clutch disk has progressed and an operating point of the diaphragm spring has shifted to a point of a higher spring load in the negative spring property region.

摘要: A fulcrum slide ring and a wear-responsive adjust slide ring are coaxially disposed on a clutch cover, and are guided to move toward the clutch disk as they move circumferentially. A first biasing spring circumferentially urges the fulcrum slide ring relative to the clutch cover, and a second biasing spring circumferentially urges the fulcrum slide ring and the adjust slide ring relative to each other. The spring force of the second spring is smaller than that of the first biasing spring. A wear detecting resilient member permits an adjusting movement of the adjust slide ring which corresponds to the amount of wear of the clutch facing, and this in turn allows a corresponding adjusting movement of the fulcrum slide ring. Because the fulcrum point of the diaphragm spring is shifted by the alternating movement of the wear-responsive slide ring and the fulcrum slide ring which is aided by the wear detecting resilient member, a reliable and immediate adjust action can be accomplished.

摘要: A clutch cover assembly comprising, in addition to a clutch cover containing a pressure plate and a diaphragm spring, a spring washer in location and retainment such that it provides cushioning against clutch engagement shock. In a recess in the pressure plate adjacent the diaphragm spring, the spring washer is supported on opposite corresponding sides on annular fulcra, which in clutch disengagement are staggered laterally of the spring washer and remote from each other. During clutch engagement, the spring washer deforms elastically as it transmits the impelling force of the diaphragm spring in tandem therewith, flexing on the fulcra and therein cushioning the clutch-engaging force of the diaphragm spring. One of the annular fulcra is along a curved bottom surface of the clutch pressure plate recess, and as the load from the diaphragm spring on the spring washer increases, the fulcrum locus of contact thus shifts along the washer, approaching the other annular fulcrum. The distance separating the fulcra thus decreases such that the cushioning rigidity of the spring washer Increases gradually with the increasing load as the clutch is engaged. Cushioning characteristics reflecting a parabolic response comparable to that of clutch cover assemblies employing conventional cushioning plates on the clutch disc are realized.

摘要: A damper mechanism includes a first flywheel, an output plate, a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly is disposed between a first support part and a transmission part in a preliminarily compressed state. The second spring assembly is disposed between a second support part and the transmission part in a preliminarily compressed state. The stopper part is disposed for making contact with the first spring assembly and the second spring assembly in the rotational direction. Gaps are reliably produced in the rotational direction between the stopper part and both of the first spring assembly and the second spring assembly in a neutral state of applying no external force to the first flywheel and the output plate.
