摘要: A system for delivering a desired mass of gas, including a chamber, a first valve controlling flow into the chamber, a second valve controlling flow out of the chamber, a pressure transducer connected to the chamber, an input device for providing a desired mass to be delivered, and a controller connected to the valves, the pressure transducer and the input device. The controller is programmed to receive the desired mass from the input device, close the second valve and open the first valve, receive chamber pressure measurements from the pressure transducer, and close the inlet valve when pressure within the chamber reaches a predetermined level. The controller is then programmed to wait a predetermined waiting period to allow the gas inside the chamber to approach a state of equilibrium, then open the outlet valve at time=t0, and close the outlet valve at time=t* when the mass of gas discharged equals the desired mass.

摘要: A resource management system for tracking the real-time location and status of a plurality of trucks during interaction with a plurality of batch plants and a plurality of jobsites to provide a system for managing the trucks and drivers; providing customer efficiency; and providing dispatch accountability. Vehicle-mounted sensors automatically communicate delivery status information via a wireless network, all without requiring driver intervention. The on-board personal computer (PC) or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) displays GPS maps, relays driver messages and stores performance data. The status and performance data can be reviewed in real time to allow the dispatcher to efficiently manage the truck fleet with regard to the jobsite demands and the capabilities of the available batch plants. Alternatively, the status and performance data can be reviewed at a later time to analyze and improve resource allocation. Further, the system is automated and digital, thus eliminating driver-generated forms, minimizing entry errors and lowering the data entry costs associated with producing manual load tickets.

摘要: Provided is, for example, a method for the fabrication of electrical interconnects in semiconductor devices wherein a substrate including two or more transistors having gate regions wherein the gate regions are not exposed (e.g., the gate regions are completely covered by an insulating cap) is provided. An insulating layer overlying the transistors and the active areas is deposited, where upon a hard mask is created and patterned to form a contact plug/interconnect opening over a first active area and a portion of a first transistor immediately adjacent the first active area. A spacer is formed within the contact plug/interconnect opening. Insulating material overlying active areas between transistors is removed. A portion of the gate region of the first transistor is then exposed and interconnect material is deposited within the contact plug/interconnect opening onto the exposed portion of the gate region of the first transistor and the first active area.

摘要: A surgical guide and its use in medical procedures such as to treat female urinary incontinence are provided. The guide preferably includes a stem portion having a proximal end and a distal end and a cross-sectional shape having a recess therein along its length and first and second extension portions extending outwardly from opposites sides of the distal end of the stem portion. Each of said first and second extension portions further include a stationary portion that is fixedly coupled to the stem portion and a movable portion that is movably coupled to the stationary portion. The movable portions are movable relative to the respective stationary portions between a first position wherein the stem portions extends beyond the extension portions by a first distance and a second position wherein the stem portion extends beyond the extension portions by a second distance that is greater than the first distance.

The O-substituted hydroxylamine further comprising at least one additional property selected from the group consisting of: a purity of between about 98% to 100%, based on gas chromatographic area; and a purity drop of less than about 1.2% after 78 days at 40° C. when the O-substituted hydroxylamine has a concentration of about 85% in water, based on gas chromatographic area. The O-substituted hydroxylamine is at least one isomer selected from the group consisting of cis, trans and a mixture thereof. The O-substituted hydroxylamine may also be reacidified to an O-substituted hydroxylamine salt free of hydroxylamine.

摘要: Error tolerance is increased for a storage system having a plurality of arrays by making local redundancy in a selected array globally available throughout the storage system. To achieve the increased error tolerance, a donor array is selected from the plurality of arrays when the difference between a minimum distance of the donor array and a minimum distance of a recipient array is greater or equal to 2. A donor storage unit is selected in the donor array and recipient information is then rebuilt from the recipient array on the selected storage unit. The selected storage unit is indicated to the donor array as having been donated before the lost information is rebuilt on the selected storage unit. Preferably, the minimum Hamming distance of the recipient array is d≧2 before the donor array is selected from the plurality of arrays.

摘要: The error tolerance of an array of m storage units is increased by using a technique referred to as “dodging.” A plurality of k stripes are stored across the array of storage units in which each stripe has n+r elements that correspond to a symmetric code having a minimum Hamming distance d=r+1. Each respective element of a stripe is stored on a different storage unit. An element is selected when a difference between a minimum distance of the donor stripe and a minimum distance of a recipient stripe is greater or equal to 2. The selected element is also stored on a storage unit having no elements of the recipient stripe. A lost element of the recipient stripe is then rebuilt on the selected element.
