摘要: A grocery/retail service automates deliveries from local retail establishments. The “SERV” system and method implements the usage of application technology to deploy reps to deliver items requested by customers. SERV enables customers to order groceries or other items from a cellular device or computer, and set delivery times that coincide with their busy schedules. SERV accomplishes this service through GPS location technology, online inventory databases of retail stores, and customer-oriented reps hired to deliver items. Customers will be able to place orders, track delivery of goods, tip reps for service, and view receipt of order via email.

摘要: Certain embodiments of the disclosed technology may include systems and methods for enhancing touch event processing performance. According to an example embodiment of the disclosed technology, a method is provided for receiving, at an input dispatcher, touch events from one or more input devices. The method also includes batching the received touch events. Batching can include accumulating the received touch events for a predetermined duration corresponding to a screen refresh rate. The method also includes directing the batched touch events to event receivers associated with one or more applications. The one or more applications asynchronously control receipt of the batch touch events.

摘要: A low-profile burst disk assembly for safely venting excess pressure from a pressurized fluid system by way of a tortuous fluid flow path. A burst disk plug includes a male thread and is thereby adapted to thread into the body of a pressurizable chamber. The burst disk plug further includes a fluid receiving port placed in fluid communication between the burst disk and one or more bleed channels open to ambient pressure. The one or more bleed channels generally run axially through the burst disk plug, either intersecting or bypassing the male thread. Embodiments with a plurality of bleed channels generally include a distribution manifold positioned in fluid communication between the fluid receiving port and the one or more bleed channels to ensure an even distribution of venting pressure among the bleed channels. A flange surface further deflects pressurized fluid as it escapes from the bleed channels toward the ambient environment, thereby dispersing the resulting thrust in multiple directions and minimizing the effective force exerted on the body of the pressurized fluid system.

摘要: An insurance enrollment and underwriting method includes providing a first user interface with one or more controls for enabling a user to specify one or more health conditions in an enrollment application for pet health insurance. Data representing one or more health conditions specified through the first user interface is received. That data is electronically processed. Each condition is electronically flagged as a condition that is acceptable, precluded, or for manual review. A dollar limit of coverage for each of a plurality of diagnoses in lieu of one or more exclusions is calculated. The plurality of diagnoses include one or more diagnoses related to one or more of the health conditions. Where all conditions are and flagged as acceptable or determined to be acceptable following a manual review, an active policy is packaged to include coverage for each of the plurality of diagnoses up to each diagnosis' corresponding dollar limit of coverage.

摘要: A mass spectrometer is disclosed comprising an electric field region L2 wherein a time-varying electric field is applied thereto. In a mode of operation a pulse of ions 3 comprising ions having different mass to charge ratios passes through the electric field region L2 and the electric field is varied with time such that at least some of the ions 3 having different mass to charge ratios subsequently arrive at the extraction or acceleration region 10 of a Time of Flight mass analyser at substantially the same time.

摘要: A mass spectrometer is disclosed comprising at least first and second ion traps which are arranged in series. A relatively high AC or RF voltage is applied to the electrodes forming the first ion trap in order to improve the trapping of energetic or high mass to charge ratio ions. The relatively high AC or RF voltage applied to the first ion trap also has the effect of raising the low mass cut-off of the first ion trap. The second ion trap, arranged downstream of the first ion trap, is arranged to have a lower low mass cut-off than the first ion trap, and hence ions which are not trapped in the first ion trap are trapped in the second ion trap.

摘要: Systems and methods include utilizing a layer stack to indirectly associate logical and physical display content. A layer stack may decouple content from content presentation details at a physical display, facilitating the implementation of mirroring, spanning, and other multiple-display modes across non-contiguous display devices with disparate resolutions, densities, and other characteristics, while maintaining native device configuration settings. In one implementation, a layer stack may be a collection of surfaces. The layer stack may be associated with a first logical display having a first resolution. A region containing parts of one or more surfaces, at a first position of the layer stack and corresponding to the first resolution of the first logical display, may be rendered and output, based on a display projection, to a first physical display. Further implementations may use combinations of additional logical displays, physical displays, or layer stacks to implement various multiple-display modes.

摘要: A method and system for boosting a clock frequency for a processor in a mobile device based on user interface (UI) demand are described. In response to a user interaction through a UI in the mobile device, a vertical synchronization pulse request is made by an application and an indication of such request can be provided to a governor. The governor can adjust a clock frequency of a processor in the mobile device based on the generated indication. The processor can be a central processing unit or a graphics processing unit. The clock frequency can be boosted to a higher frequency to increase the processing capabilities of the mobile device to handle the computational requirements of the user interaction. Some time after boosting the clock frequency of the processor, the governor can return to normal operations in which the clock frequency scaling is typically based on a measured system load.
