Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for repairing soft tissue. The surgical system allows for the creation of tissue repair by grasping, aligning and sewing or fixing tissue. For example, this system may be used for clipping together excessive capsular tissue and reducing the overall capsular volume. The deployment device includes a central grasping mechanism and an outer clip delivery system. The clip embodiments may be single or multi-component (penetration and locking base components) that penetrate tissue layers and deploy or lock to clip the tissue together. An example of the system is used to reduce the joint capsule tissue laxity and reduces the potential for subluxation or dislocation of the joint by either restricting inferior laxity (anterior or posterior) and resolving or eliminating pathologic anterior or posterior translation.

AT4 receptor agonists are potent activators of angiogenesis and can be used to treat diseases that are characterized by vascular insufficiency. AT4 receptor antagonists, which are potent inhibitors of angiogenesis, and can be used as anti-angiogenic agents for the treatment of cancer, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, atherosclerotic plaque formation, and any disease process that is characterized by excessive, undesired or inappropriate angiogenesis or proliferation of endothelial cells.

The present invention relates to the promotion of a continuous chemical barrier of a soil-born invertebrate pest control agent in soil in a locus where soil-borne invertebrate pests are suspected or known to exist. In particular the present invention relates to compositions of liquid soil-borne invertebrate pest control agents and selected adjuvants wherein the adjuvant improves the downward and lateral movement in the soil of the soil-born invertebrate pest control agent contained in the liquid soil-borne invertebrate pest control agent. The invention set forth herein finds particular utility with soil-born invertebrate pest control agents with a water solubility of 3 ppm, or less, such as bifenthrin.

The shell has an inner layer, an outer layer, insulation between the inner layer and the outer layer, an overlying portion, an underlying portion, a head end, a foot end and left and right lateral sides. The outer layer has stretchable and non-stretchable panels. The stretchable panels are of resilient sheet material and are located in areas of the outer layer corresponding to the shoulders, elbows and knees of the user.

Passive damping of a disc drive structural member is achieved using a tuned resonance passive damping circuit. This circuit can, for example, be connected to a head gimbal assembly that has a piezoelectric micro-actuator. The circuit can be tuned to the sway frequency of the micro-actuator. The circuit is configured to dissipate mechanical energy as heat, effectively damping the structure to which it is attached.

A novel thin film transistor (TFT) structure for minimizing parasitic capitances on both the drain and source electrodes. According to a first embodiment, a triple gate TFT is provided with an open gate structure in which the source and drain electrodes are non-overlapping with the top gate electrode. A pair of bottom gate electrodes being aligned respectively with the first gap between the gate and source and the second gap between the gate and drain. According to a second embodiment of the invention, a full transfer TFT switch is provided having a source, a drain, a bottom gate and semi-conductor layer therebetween, and a partial top gate overlapping a portion of the drain and a portion of the semiconductor layer for creating a generally triangular-shaped charge density distribution in the semiconductor layer for moving channel electrons toward the source electrode.

A convective-flow barrier is position adjacent to and extending substantially along the bottom edge of the glazing unit within the cavity. In operation, cold-side convective flow is prevented by the barrier from directly reaching a bottom region of the warm-side glazing sheet.

The invention is concerned with a means of compensating for film shrinkage in a continuous film motion telecine apparatus. A measure of the film shrinkage is obtained by deriving a signal representing the angular speed of a roller in non-slipping contact with the film, the film being driven at a constant frame rate by, for example, a smooth capstan servo-controlled to maintain the constant frame rate. The roller whose angular speed is measured may be the drive capstan itself or a separate roller. The signal so derived is dependent on the film shrinkage and thus is used to automatically control a registration adjusting means to compensate for such shrinkage.
