Abstract: A base station according to a first aspect is used in a mobile communication system supporting a D2D proximity service which enables direct device to device communication. The base station comprises: a controller that determines whether to allow a user terminal to execute transmission/reception operations of a D2D synchronization signal to directly establish device to device synchronization; and a transmitter configured to transmit information indicating results of the determination to the user terminal. The controller performs the determination based on D2D range information indicating a permissible communication range of the user terminal in the D2D proximity service.

Abstract: In the communication control method according to the present embodiment, a user terminal transmits a scheduling assignment indicating the location of a radio resource used in a reception of communication data by direct device-to-device communication. The user terminal transmits the communication data including initial transmission data and retransmission data by using the radio resource. The retransmission data is transmitted depending on the number of times of re-transmissions associated with a predetermined scheduling assignment by using a predetermined radio resource of which the location is indicated by the predetermined scheduling assignment.

Abstract: In a communication method, a user equipment receives system information broadcast from a current serving cell of the user equipment and indicating frequencies different from a frequency of the current serving cell, the user equipment receives a paging signal from the current serving cell that is different from the system information and includes a request message requesting the user equipment to perform frequency redistribution in which the user equipment selects a target frequency, and performs the frequency redistribution in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message. Performing the frequency redistribution comprises the user equipment measuring quality of the frequencies included in the system information received from the current serving cell in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message, and selecting the target frequency based on a result of the measuring. The user equipment reselects a serving cell on the selected target frequency.

Abstract: D2D communication is appropriately controlled even in an environment in which a second user terminal inside the coverage and a first user terminal outside the coverage both exist. The first user terminal directly receives from the second user terminal device-to-device (D2D) synchronization information including coverage information that indicates that the second user terminal is in the coverage area, determines, based on the coverage information, whether the second user terminal is in the coverage area, selects the second user terminal as a synchronization reference of the first user terminal in response to determining that the second user terminal is in the coverage area, and receives usable resource information broadcasted from the second user terminal that becomes the synchronization reference, the usable resource information indicating D2D usable resources notified from a base station to the second user terminal by broadcast signaling.

Abstract: A base station supports SC-PTM. The base station sets a first configuration and a second configuration to the user terminal. The first configuration is a configuration on the user terminal discontinuously monitoring a PDCCH on which a control signal is transmitted, the control signal being for receiving multicast data transmitted by the SC-PTM from the base station. The first configuration includes an On-duration timer that is a period during which the user terminal receives the PDCCH. The first configuration is a configuration corresponding to a RNTI assigned commonly to a plurality of user terminals that receives identical multicast data by the SC-PTM. The second configuration is a configuration on the user terminal discontinuously monitoring a PDCCH on which a control signal is transmitted, the control signal being for receiving data transmitted by another transmission method from the base station.

Abstract: A user terminal transmits and/or receives downlink traffic through cellular/WLAN aggregation by using a first communication and a second communication. The user terminal further transmits an uplink control signal through the cellular/WLAN aggregation by using the first communication and without using the second communication. The user terminal further notifies the base station of a report regarding the second communication by the first communication. The report indicates a radio link failure in the second communication and includes a reason for the radio link failure. The reason includes a first reason and a second reason. The first reason relates to a radio environment in the second communication. The second reason does not relate to the radio environment.
