Abstract:
The present invention, roughly described, pertains to a small memory card that includes features which allow the memory card to be more easily handled by a user. In various embodiments, the memory card can include a chamfer and/or a raised portion that allows the memory card to be more easily grabbed by a human hand (or mechanical device) and also provides additional room to store passive devices such as capacitors and/or resistors. Because different electronic devices use different types of memory cards, an adaptor is provided that allows the memory cards disclosed herein to be used in ports or connectors on electronic devices that are meant for other types of memory cards.
Abstract:
A wireless subscriber terminal (ST) for use with IP push-to-talk (PP2T) service using a wireless local area network (WLAN) operating in a plurality of modes, including a mobile terminal having an ability to communicate over the air to a wireless Access Point (AP), the mobile terminal further programmable to use conventional WLAN protocols, and a method for operating the wireless terminal are described.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are biodegradable compositions comprising 1,3-propanediol, wherein the 1,3-propanediol in said biodegradable composition has a bio-based carbon content of about 1% to 100%. In addition, it is preferred that the 1,3-propanediol be biologically-derived, and wherein upon biodegradation, the biologically-derived 1,3-propanediol contributes no anthropogenic CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising esters of 1,3-propanediol are provided. The 1,3-propanediol used to form the esters is biologically derived. The esters can have at least 3% biobased carbon. The compositions can further comprise biologically-derived 1,3-propanediol. Also provided are processes for producing compositions comprising esters of 1,3-propanediol. The processes include providing biologically produced 1,3-propanediol, contacting the 1,3-propanediol with an organic acid, which produces an ester, and recovering the produced ester.
Abstract:
A method and computer program product for testing a software application program. Randomized input is provided into a logging facility and automated testing of the logging facility is performed in a multi-processing environment. Self-verification of data retrieved from the logging facility is performed to ensure no data loss occurs due to external system events or failures driven by a test tool. Real-time analysis of results received is performed by the test tool based on the randomized input into the logging facility. First failure data is captured and self-verification of results of a data recovery operation of the logging facility is performed in a disaster recovery scenario.
Abstract:
The invention relates to control fungal growth on tanned hides, using cyanodithiocarbimates of formula (I): X is a halogen; R is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C14 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C14 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C14 alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted group defined by Y—Ar—(CH2)m— or by Z-(CH2)n—; Ar is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group selected from phenyl, or naphthyl; Y is H, halogen, NO2, R1, R1O, R1R2N; Z is NC, R1O, R1OC(O), R1OCH2CH2(OCH2CH2)p m ranges from 0 to 3; n ranges from 0 to 3; p ranges from 0 to 3; and R1 and R2 are independently H, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C5 alkyl.
Abstract:
Independently updated data of a distributed communications environment is reconciled to provide consistent data to a plurality of members of the environment, such as a plurality of members of a cluster of a clustered environment. The data is reconciled using locally monotonically increasing values. One type of locally monotonically increasing value used in reconciling inconsistent data is a local timestamp.
