The ECU is configured to: (a) control charging of the power storage device by the power generation apparatus and accelerate the charging of the power storage device, when the increase in the power storage amount is requested, and (b) suppress charging of the power storage device at the time when a travel load is small in comparison with charging of the power storage device at the time when the travel load is large, when the increase in the power storage amount is requested.
