摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes: an engine configured to output power for traveling; a motor configured to output power for traveling; a switch configured to set a fuel economy priority mode, in which priority is given to fuel economy, and to cancel the fuel economy priority mode; and a controller configured (a) to operate the engine and the motor based on the switch setting; (b) to determine the presence/absence of degradation of fuel supplied to the engine; and (c) to prohibit setting of the fuel economy priority mode by the switch subsequently when determination is made that the fuel has degraded when the hybrid vehicle travels using power of the motor in a state in which the drive of the engine is stopped.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle includes a power storage device, an engine, a power generation apparatus, an input apparatus, and an ECU. The power generation apparatus is configured to generate charging power of the power storage device by using output of the engine. The input apparatus is configured to request, by a user input, an increase in a power storage amount of the power storage device. The ECU is configured to: (a) control charging of the power storage device by the power generation apparatus and accelerate the charging of the power storage device, when the increase in the power storage amount is requested, and (b) suppress charging of the power storage device at the time when a travel load is small in comparison with charging of the power storage device at the time when the travel load is large, when the increase in the power storage amount is requested.

This arrangement enables to prevent overcharging the battery and to operate the auxiliary in the case that an auxiliary such as the air conditioner is operated with electric power from the commercial power supply by controlling the charger prior to the system startup.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle for reducing a variation in accelerator position when an EV mode is switched to a HV mode is provided. A controller executes the following process during running in the EV mode. The controller sets an increase of the accelerator position from a first accelerator position to a switching accelerator position at which a switch to the HV mode is to be made as a first increase when an output of a motor has reached an output upper limit at the first accelerator position. The controller sets an increase of the accelerator position from a second accelerator position to the switching accelerator position as a second increase which is smaller than the first increase when the output of the motor has reached the output upper limit at the second accelerator position which is larger than the first accelerator position.

摘要: Provided are a hybrid vehicle and control method thereof. The hybrid vehicle has a power storage device, an internal combustion engine, a power generation device, an input device and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to control charging of the power storage device by the power generation device in such a manner that charging of the power storage device is promoted when an increase of the power storage amount is requested through the input device, and in a state where an increase of the power storage amount has been requested through the input device, to suppress charging of the power storage device when a travel load is small, as compared to when the travel load is large, and to mitigate suppression of charging of the power storage device when a predefined condition is met during suppression of charging of the power storage device.

摘要: An engine and a motor/generator are installed in a vehicle as drive sources. The vehicle is capable of traveling in a condition where the engine is stopped. A monitor varies an indicator in accordance with an operation performed by a driver and a condition of a device installed in the vehicle, and displays the indicator to the driver. When a startup condition based on the operation performed by the driver is satisfied, the device is stopped, and the engine is kept stopped until a predetermined delay time elapses. While the engine remains stopped, variation of the indicator is restricted.
