摘要: A driver assistance apparatus includes an environment information obtainer, a visibility value measurer, and a control processor. The environment information obtainer acquires information on a traveling environment around a vehicle. The visibility value measurer measures a visibility value of the vehicle in the traveling environment based on the information on the traveling environment. The control processor determines whether visibility obstruction has occurred based on the visibility value and, when determining that the visibility obstruction has occurred, executes a driver assistance mode against the visibility obstruction. When determining that the visibility obstruction has occurred, the control processor executes one or both of a first process adapted to notify surrounding objects present around the vehicle of the presence of the vehicle depending on the visibility value, and a second process adapted to assist a traveling state of the vehicle.

摘要: Through-the-road (TTR) hybrid designs using control strategies such as an equivalent consumption minimization strategy (ECMS) or an adaptive ECMS are implemented at the supplemental torque delivering electrically powered drive axle (or axles) in a manner that follows operational parameters or computationally estimates states of the primary drivetrain and/or fuel-fed engine, but does not itself participate in control of the fuel-fed engine or primary drivetrain. BSFC-type data particular to the paired-with fuel-fed engine allows an ECMS implementation (or other similar control strategy) to adapt to efficiency curves for the particular fuel-fed engine and to improve overall efficiencies of the TTR hybrid configuration.

摘要: A trailering velocity compensation system in a cruise control system is disclosed. The system includes a controller that is configured to: determine whether activation conditions for a trailering velocity compensation algorithm are met, and when the activation conditions are met, adjust a speed error used by the cruise control system; adjust a speed offset for application of brakes used by the cruise control system; adjust a speed offset for release of brakes used by the cruise control system; determine a set speed offset for inhibiting engine torque; determine a set speed offset for releasing engine torque inhibiting; adjust a headway time gap value used by the cruise control system; and control vehicle speed based on the adjusted speed error, adjusted speed offset for application of brakes, adjusted speed offset for release of brakes, set speed offset for inhibiting engine torque, set speed offset for releasing engine torque inhibiting, and adjusted headway time gap value.

The parallel start control method includes: acquiring current working conditions of a clutch and a gearbox of the hybrid electric vehicle, an engine request torque of the hybrid electric vehicle and a start mode of the hybrid electric vehicle; judging whether the hybrid electric vehicle meets an over-heat protection condition according to the current working conditions of the clutch and the gearbox and determining a start basic torque according to a judging result and the engine request torque; determining a start clutch request torque based on the start basic torque according to the start mode of the hybrid electric vehicle and conducting start control on the clutch according to the start clutch request torque. The start security, responsiveness and power performance of the hybrid electric vehicle are improved.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices related to a method of controlling an autonomous vehicle, in particular, an autonomous diesel-engine truck are disclosed. In one example aspect, the method includes determining an available engine brake torque generation mechanism for reducing a current speed of the autonomous vehicle to a lower speed and selecting a brake mode corresponding to the engine brake torque availability. In case a rate of speed reduction is equal to or smaller than a threshold, the brake mode includes only an engine brake in which engine exhaust valve opening is adjusted for reducing the current speed. The threshold determined in part based on the available engine brake torque, gear position of the transmission, and the online estimated vehicle longitudinal dynamic model. In case the rate of speed reduction is greater than the threshold, the brake mode incudes a combination of the engine brake and the foundation brake.

The transmission is positioned within the tunnel and coupled to the front axle and/or the rear axle. The motor is at least partially positioned within the tunnel and positioned between the engine and the transmission.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a hybrid powertrain system, comprising: an engine; a motor/generator (“MG”); a clutch coupled to the engine and the MG; a transmission coupled to the MG; an energy storage system connected to the MG; and a controller coupled to the engine, the MG, the clutch, the transmission and the energy storage system. The controller is configured to initiate an engine stop, allow engine torque and MG torque to reduce to zero or near zero, shift the transmission to a neutral gear, cause the MG to operate in a generator mode, thereby loading the engine to recover kinetic energy from the engine, disengage the clutch to decouple the MG from the engine, increase the speed of the MG to a target speed, and shift the transmission into gear in response to the MG reaching the target speed.

For instance, a vehicle may include a bidirectional vehicle that operates in a first mode at which a first end of the vehicle operates as a front of the vehicle and a second mode at which a second end of the vehicle operates as the front of the vehicle. As such, the vehicle may store data representing a first distance that the vehicle has traveled while operating in the first mode and a second distance that the vehicle has traveled while operating in the second mode. The vehicle may then detect the occurrence of an event. Based on the occurrence of the event, the vehicle may select a mode for operating the vehicle using the first distance and the second distance. For example, the vehicle may select the mode that is associated with the shortest distance.
