    摘要: Provided is an apparatus for automatic gain control (AGC) widely used in a receiver of a wireless communication system. The receiver of a wireless communication system includes: a step variable gain amplifier and an analog variable gain amplifier disposed in the path of a wireless signal and amplifying the wireless signal; an analog gain control unit for generating a gain control voltage for feedback-controlling an amplification value of the analog variable gain amplifier; a digital gain control unit for receiving the control voltage and generating a digital code determining an amplification value of the step variable gain amplifier. The apparatus for AGC constituted as described above can reduce power consumption and the number of devices by efficiently running an AGC loop in an analog domain, and can be embodied at low cost in a structure appropriately controlling the step gain amplifier and the analog gain amplifier.

The driving apparatus includes an LCD panel for displaying an image corresponding to a data signal. A data driver supplies the data signal to the LCD panel. A gate driver supplies a scan signal to the LCD panel. A picture quality improving unit generates a histogram by dividing brightness components of input data into levels, generates data with an extended contrast ratio, and then generates a brightness control signal according to the average value of the histogram. A timing controller supplies reordered data, and controls the data driver and the gate driver. A backlight provides light to the LCD panel. An inverter drives the backlight based on the brightness control signal.

    摘要: A method for driving a flat panel display to improve an image quality and a lifetime of the flat panel display is disclosed. The method for driving the flat panel display includes the steps of: a) storing electric-charges contained in a parasitic capacitor of a data line and a pixel-storage capacitor (Cst) in each pixel via a pixel transistor connected to the data line, which enters a floating state during a predetermined time other than a light-emitting time caused by a data-current writing operation, until a current voltage reaches a threshold voltage of the pixel transistor; and b) performing the writing of a data current corresponding to a pixel to be driven by the data line via the pixel transistor, such that the flat panel display emits light.
