Abstract:
An electron-emitting device having favorable electron emitting characteristic stable for a long time, which is manufactured by a method comprising the steps of disposing an electrically conductive member having a second gap on a substrate, and applying a voltage to the electrically conductive member while irradiating at least the second gap with an electron beam from electron emitting means disposed apart from the electrically conductive member in an atmosphere comprising a carbon compound.
Abstract:
An information processing device, a method of saving and loading data, and an information recording medium are provided. A volatile memory means of an information processing device of this invention stores data in a volatile manner. A nonvolatile memory device stores data in a nonvolatile manner. A determination unit determines a cause of a reset which has been generated. A saving unit saves the data stored in the volatile memory device into the nonvolatile memory device when the cause of the reset is a specified cause, and operation of the information processing device is stopped by a stopping unit. A loading unit loads the data stored in the nonvolatile memory device to the volatile memory device when the cause of the reset is not a specified cause, and operation of an operating system of the information processing device is started by a starting unit. A program which implements the information processing device is recorded on an information recording medium.
Abstract:
To provide an electronic apparatus and electronic apparatus manufacturing method enabling selection of a necessary functional block from among multiple functional blocks or units so that numerous functions can be selectively used with few input/output terminals. An electronic apparatus has input/output terminals 101 for connecting to an external circuit; functional blocks or units 101a to 102c such as DRAM, flash ROM, and an ASIC; a switching circuit 103 that is a two-way analog switch for switching between the functional blocks or units 102a to 102c and input/output terminals 101; and function selection terminals 104 for applying to the switching circuit 103 a signal indicating which functional block of functional blocks or units 102a to 102c to connect to the input/output terminals 101. Because the necessary functional block and the input/output terminals 101 can be connected according to the input to the function selection terminal 104, numerous functions can be selectively used with only a few input/output terminals.
Abstract:
A wired board comprises a plurality of bonding pads for connection to connecting terminals of an electronic part, and a plurality of external connection terminals for connection to connecting terminals of an external circuit board such as a motherboard. Each of the bonding pads has a metallized layer, and further has a Ni—B-plated layer, a Ni—P-plated layer and a Au-plated layer which are formed in this order on the metallized layer. The Au-plated layer has the thickness ranging from 1.2 to 3.5 &mgr;m. Each of the external connection terminals has a metallized layer, and further has a Ni—B-plated layer and a Au-plated layer which are formed in this order on the metallized layer of each of the external connection terminals. The Au-plated layer of each of the external connection terminals has the thickness ranging from 0.01 to 1 &mgr;m. A method of producing the wired board is also provided.
Abstract:
A wiring substrate to which an IC chip is connected through soldering is formed from ceramic having electrode pads formed of a metallization layer. At least one nickel layer is formed on the electrode pads. The nickel layer has a thickness in the range of 2.5 &mgr;m to 8 &mgr;m. The nickel layer is preferably composed of a plurality of plated layers, and the outermost layer thereof is preferably formed through Ni-B plating. A gold plating layer is preferably formed on the outermost nickel layer. Further, heating is advantageously performed at least one time during the formation of the plurality of nickel layers.
Abstract:
A thermal spray coating method comprising producing a high speed flame from a combustion gas and spraying a thermal spray coating material powder onto the surface of a base material by using the high speed flame to form a coating on the surface of the base material. The thermal spray coating material powder is a mixed powder comprising (A) 98-70% in volume of Cu based lead bronze alloy powder and (b) 2-30% in volume of Al powder or Al based alloy powder.
Abstract:
An ion implanting apparatus for irradiating a material, for example, a semiconductor wafer, with an ion beam generated at an ion source, for implanting the ion into the material, is provided with a magnet at a side of the material opposite to a side into which the ion is irradiated. Thereby, the implantation is performed without charging thereon and with a high yielding ratio.
Abstract:
To improve the safety of the interlocking switch circuit comprising a monitor switch, primary switch and secondary switch which are on/off by the opening and closing of the electronic range door in order to control the operation/nonoperation of the microwave generation device of the electronic range. The above switches are taken as relay contact points respectively, so as to be able to operate the on/off of each switch from outside. By this, the detection jig is decreased, the detection time period is also shortened and a cause of the safety decreases due to the increase of the efficiency removed. In addition, the switch which turns the on/off of the microwave generation device of the electronic range is adapted to increase the safety of the interlocking switch circuit by being arranged independently.

Abstract:
In a video camera in strobe mode, when a condition for strobe light emission is ready, the aperture of an iris is reduced and the gain of an AGC amplifier is fixed at a predetermined value. Accordingly, a dark image representing the condition ready for strobe light emission is displayed on an electronic view finder, and in addition saturation of charge accumulation is prevented.
