摘要: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a pair of substrates, each having an electrode on an inner surface of said substrate: an alignment film on each the electrode; a liquid crystal material between the alignment films; a plurality of display cells in the liquid crystal material, each controlled by a voltage applied from the electrodes, each display cell comprising: a plurality of domains, each having mutually different pre-tilt angle, the pre-tilt angle being determined by said alignment films forming the domains; a separator region provided along a boundary of said domains, for preventing an influence of pre-tilt angle of adjacent domain, so that liquid crystal molecules in the separator region are substantially vertical with respect to the alignment film regardless to the voltage applied thereto. The separator region may be constituted by arranging the facing two alignment films such that at the center of the cell both the facing alignment films have the higher pretilt angle.

    摘要: This invention is applied to a communication apparatus that uses one or more code words to transmit or receive appropriate information on a PUSCH. Assuming that the i-th code word CW_i is used alone to transmit the appropriate information, the communication apparatus of the invention uses a Formula (1) to calculate the number of resources Q′_i. When one or more code words are used to transmit the appropriate information, the communication apparatus uses a Formula (2) to calculate the number of resources Q′. Q i ′ = ⌈ O · M sc PUSCH ⁢ - ⁢ initial · N symb PUSCH ⁢ - ⁢ initial · β offset PUSCH ∑ r = 0 C - 1 ⁢ K r ⌉ ( 1 ) Q ′ = min ( max ( ⌈ ( ∑ i ⁢ 1 Q i ′ ) - 1 ⌉ , ⌈ O Q m UCI ⌉ ) , 4 · M sc PUSCH ) ( 2 )

摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second substrates positioned so as to face each other; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, and containing a polymerizable component that is polymerized by light or heat. The polymerizable component of the liquid crystal layer is polymerized with a predetermined voltage being applied to a region corresponding to those pixels whose transmittance-drive voltage characteristics are shifted toward higher voltages in a normal drive operation, where the predetermined voltage is applied so that the transmittance-drive voltage characteristics are shifted toward lower voltages by an amount equal to or larger than an amount of the shift toward higher voltages.
