An image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit having a rotary heating member and a rotary pressure member forming a nip therebetween, a guide wall positioned immediately downstream of the fixing unit and on the side of the rotary heating member with respect to a boundary defined by the transfer medium passing the nip, a guide member positioned on the side of the rotary pressure member with respect to the boundary and face to face with the guide wall, the guide member and the guide wall cooperatively guiding the transfer medium discharged from the fixing unit, and a guide member positioning mechanism for shifting the guide member between a first position where the guide member is moved away from the guide wall and a second position where the guide member is moved closer to the guide wall than at the first position.

The present invention provides a high Cr Ni-based alloy filler material of which weld cracking resistance can sufficiently be increased by suppressing generation of scales, and a welding rod for shielded metal arc welding that exhibits sufficiently increased weld cracking resistance. The high Cr Ni-based alloy filler material comprises, in percent by weight, C: 0.04% or less, Si: 0.01 to 0.5%, Mn: 7% or less, Cr: 28 to 31.5%, Nb: 0.5% or less, Ta: 0.005 to 3.0%, Fe: 7 to 11%, Al: 0.01 to 0.4%, Ti: 0.01 to 0.45%, V: 0.5% or less, and, as inevitable impurities, P: 0.02% or less, S: 0.015% or less, O: 0.01% or less, N: 0.002 to 0.1%, and the balance: Ni.

A development aid device for development of a ladder program such as a user program for a programmable controller has a program memory for storing the user program and an outline data generating part for sequentially scanning constituent elements of this stored user program to extract specified elements including output commands and generating outline data by assigning individual index numbers to these extracted elements sequentially in the order of their appearance on the user program. An outline data memory stores the generated outline data. A cross-reference data generating part generates cross-reference data by extracting commands having a same operand from the user program, and a cross-reference data memory stores the generated cross-reference data. A display device is provided with a user program display area for displaying the user program, an outline data display area for displaying the generated outline data in a tree form in the order of appearance, and a cross-reference data display area for displaying the cross-reference data.

A malfunction of interpreting one remote control operation as a plurality of remote control operations by mistake is prevented without impairing the responsiveness of a remote controller. A counter code which is updated each time a key of the remote controller is operated is added to a remote control signal. If an electronic device acquires the remote control signal from a control bus, the counter code contained in the remote control signal is checked to determine whether or not a remote control signal having the same count has already been acquired from the remote control light reception unit. If such a remote control signal has already been acquired, the remote control signal acquired subsequently is invalidated. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the inconvenience of a plurality of operations from being carried out due to validated remote control signals subsequently obtained through the control bus, without setting a certain time period in which all signals are considered to be the same.

With respect to any one of processing units, a main transportation path, a developing unit, a dedicated transportation robot and a high-pressure processing unit are disposed linearly in this order in a direction. Hence, even if a processing fluid adhering to a substrate or an evaporant of the processing fluid moves toward the main transportation path while the high-pressure processing unit transports the substrate wet with the processing fluid, there are the processing units located which the processing fluid or its evaporant must arrive at before reaching the main transportation path.

A successive approximation A/D converter which converts an analog signal to a digital signal by carrying out successive A/D conversions of the analog signal. It carries out, for a least significant bit of the digital signal, A/D conversion of the analog signal using a reference voltage corresponding to a previous digital signal obtained as a result of a previous A/D conversion, increments a current digital signal, which is obtained as a result of the latest A/D conversion, when the least significant bit of the current digital signal is “1”, and decrements the current digital signal when the least significant bit is “0”. This makes it possible to solve a problem of a conventional successive approximation A/D converter in that the tracking ability of the digital signal to variations of the analog signal is degraded because of the long update period involved in the increasing number of the bits of the A/D converter, if full bit conversion is carried out.

A comparator is provided in the counter circuit to compare the counted value of clocks by a counter with the value of a register in which a target changing value of a comparison register which sets a value to be compared with the counted value of the counter is set. The value of the register is set in the comparison register when the counted value of the counter does not reach the set value of the register, whereas the value of the register is not set in the comparison register if the counted value does not reach the set value of the register, but the value of the comparison register is turned changeable at the desired timing while the counted value of the counter is being compared with the set value of the comparison register.
