摘要: A common rail delivers fuel to a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel directly into each combustion chamber of a direct injection type gasoline engine. A connected accumulator incorporates a gas-sealed type damper. A body portion of the damper can stretch and shrink by being constructed of a metallic bellows, and gas is sealed in the metallic bellows. The pressure at which the gas is initially sealed within the damper is set for 4 Mpa or more, more preferably, for 8 Mpa or more. Further, to secure suppression of a variation in normal operation fuel pressure (for example, 10-12 Mpa), the pressure at which the gas is initially sealed within the damper is set to be lower than the normal operation fuel pressure, more preferably, lower than the normal operation fuel pressure by 1 Mpa or more.

摘要: An apparatus is provided for simultaneously generating a fluid flow and heating the flowing fluid. The apparatus includes a conductive material provided on at least a part of a member which is rotated. The rotatable member generates the flow of the fluid to be heated. Magnets are opposed to one side of the conductive material with a slight gap and are mounted within a casing for the rotatable member. Fluid flows through the casing and is heated due to a slip heat energy generated by rotating the conductive material relative to the magnet.

摘要: The invention provides a method of detecting ozone expediently and with high sensitivity. The invention, therefore, is directed to an ozone indicator comprising (1) at least one color-change layer comprised of an ozone sensor ink and (2) at least one non-color change layer both formed on a substrate, said color-change and non-color-change layers being formed in such a manner that at least a part or the whole of at least one color-change layer can be exposed to an ozone-containing atmosphere when the ozone indicator is put to use. The invention is further directed to an ozone sensor ink containing an anthraquinone dye having at least one amino group selected from primary and secondary amino groups.

摘要: A closed secondary battery having a sealing structure for preventing electrolyte leak for a long period is presented. An annular packing is chemically bonded in a ring form to the surface of a disk-shaped flange formed inside of a battery of a terminal pole projecting from inside to outside of the battery, by penetrating through a cover member of closed secondary battery. Fitting an annular spring while pulling the terminal to outside of the battery, the terminal pole is fixed in the cover member. At this time, the annular packing is compressed against the cover member, and the passage of electrolyte leak is shut by this compression.

摘要: An electrolytic process and apparatus which can operate in a hydrogen reaction chamber at a hydrogen reaction rate corresponding to the increase in the rate of production of hydrogen accompanying the increase in the electrolysis rate and maintain the current efficiency at a very high value with respect to the electrolytic current for producing hydrogen and a process for the production of an electrode for this purpose. An electrolytic process is provided which comprises effecting electrolysis of an electrolytic solution in an electrolytic chamber separated from a reaction chamber by a hydrogen-storing metal member with one surface of the hydrogen-storing metal member as a cathode opposing an anode so that hydrogen thus produced is adsorbed by the hydrogen-storing metal member while allowing hydrogen thus adsorbed and a material to be treated to undergo continuous catalytic reaction in the reaction chamber on the other surface of the hydrogen-storing metal member to cause hydrogenation or reduction reaction by hydrogen thus adsorbed, wherein an electrolytic apparatus having a porous catalyst layer provided on the catalytic reaction surface of the hydrogen-storing metal member is used. The porous catalyst layer is obtained by reducing metal cations in an electroless plating solution by active hydrogen desorbed from a hydrogen-storing metal so that the hydrogen-storing metal is plated with the metal.

摘要: In constructing assembled batteries by electrically connecting through a connecting bar the terminals of neighboring single cells by means of metallic parts of the terminals, by directly covering both sides of the connecting bar with the exception of the electrical connection with an insulating protecting layer of either natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or synthetic resin, and by directly or indirectly insulating and protecting the surface of the metallic parts for electrical connection, it was made possible to prevent corrosion of the connecting bar and the metallic parts for electrical connection, and to prevent capacity fluctuation due to heretofore observed leakage current of single cells composing electric vehicle batteries to be used under severe conditions for a long period and at a high operating voltage, thereby improving the reliability and dramatically reducing the maintenance load.
