摘要: There is provided a variable resistor comprised of a resistor formed at a movable member arranged to be reciprocatable, and a slider element attached to a fixing member fixed in opposition to the movable member, slidingly contacted with the resistor. The resistor has the first resistor, the second resistor and the third resistor extending in a reciprocating direction of the movable member and electrically independent from each other, a first resistor pattern having one end of each of the first resistor and the second resistor connected to each other, a second resistor pattern having the other ends of the second resistor and the third resistor. The slider element is comprised of the first slider element, the second slider element and the third slider element slidingly contacted with the first resistor, the second resistor and the third resistor. When the movable member is moved in the direction of arrow A, a resistance value between the first and second slider elements is increased and a resistance value between the second slider element and the third slider element is decreased, and in turn when the movable member is moved in a direction of an arrow B, a resistance value between the first slider element and the second slider element is decreased and a resistance value between the second slider element and the third slider element is increased.

摘要: The present invention relates to an asynchronous access system for accessing a shared storage in a multiprocessor system in which a plurality of processor modules and shared storage modules are connected through a system bus. The present invention accesses the shared storage at a high speed and reduces the overhead of the system bus. The present invention recognizes in write and read instructions serial access addresses of the shared storage, requests a block access in which a predetermined number of words are grouped as one block, and performs a recovery process when a write instruction is executed abnormally in the block access.

摘要: The present invention comprises a plurality of processor modules and shared storage modules connected through a system bus. It improves system performance by limiting the range and shortening the time of exclusive control when a CSI (compare and store interlocked) instruction is executed to rewrite the contents of a shared storage if read data at an accaccaccess address of a shared storage coincide with the data anticipated by a CPU. In the present invention, when the CPU of the processor module rewrites data by addressing any shared storage module in executing a CSI instruction, the CPU has a connection unit connected through a system bus of a shared storage module recognize the CSI instruction, and reads data and compares them with comparison data in the shared storage module. Thus, the range of the exclusive control is limited to the process in the internal bus in the shared storage module.

摘要: In an ultrasonic imaging apparatus utilizing an array type ultrasonic probe having a number of arrayed probe elements, high frequency pulse signals subject to different delays are supplied to respective probe elements so as to generate an acoustic beam which converges to a predetermined focal point. When receiving a reflection acoustic beam resulting from the converging beam, a plurality of signal lines extending from respective probe elements are connected in common to set up a plurality of element groups each having a plurality of adjacently arrayed elements and respective signals derived from respective element groups are differently delayed and added together to generate a reception signal representative of a reception beam having a predetermined focal point.
