    摘要: A dosing device for dispensing small-particulate pharmaceutical preparations has at least one chamber for receiving a larger amount of the preparation and a dosing unit. A rotary valve has at least one dosing chamber for receiving a defined dose of the preparation. The dosing chamber is moveable between a filling position and a dispensing position. The rotary valve rotates about a substantially horizontal axis, and has an adjustment device for setting the volume in the dosing chamber and a twisting device. The twisting device constitutes the actuator for the adjustment device. The device is made of a plastic material carefully selected to assure that no softening agents or other volatile components will be released, which prevents drug contamination.

    摘要: A packaging apparatus and method are provided for depositing pills into a container. At least one cylindrical rotary slat is rotatable about a longitudinal axis and includes a radially inward portion defining a plurality of pill apertures. Each pill aperture receives a pill from a plurality of pills in an interior space of the respective cylinder at a first angular position of the rotary slat. A negative pressure system applies a negative pressure to the pill apertures to retain the pills therein as the rotary slat rotates at least from the first to a second angular position. An ejection mechanism ejects the pills from the respective pill apertures toward the interior space at the second angular position. A collection mechanism disposed adjacent to the radially inward portion of the rotary slat about the second angular position collects the ejected pills and directs the pills toward the container for deposition therein.

    摘要: A machine and process function to fill cavities with metered amounts of particulate material. An applicator wheel includes a series of equally spaced apart peripheral pockets each having a perforated bottom wall, and a vacuum manifold inside the wheel includes a vacuum chamber for supplying vacuum to the perforated bottom walls of the pockets as the wheel rotates. Particulate material from a filling chamber of such material outside the wheel is withdrawn into the pockets by the vacuum chamber. A downstream vacuum relief on the vacuum manifold functions to discharge particulate material from the pockets into the cavities at a predetermined discharge location on the wheel. Adjustment structure is connected to rotatably adjust the position of the vacuum manifold within the applicator wheel to thereby advance or retard the discharge location depending upon the speed of the machine.

    摘要: A filter piston apparatus that dispenses predetermined volumes of pulverulent bulk material has a metering chamber which accommodates in each case a predetermined volume of bulk material, which is present at the end of a circular-cylindrical bore and which has its base formed by a filter of the piston. The metering chamber is attached to a positive-pressure or negative-pressure gas source through the filter, which is permeable to gas but impermeable to the bulk material. A piston wall has a transverse slot and an inner groove located radially opposite the transverse slot, such that the filter can be pushed into the slot from the outside and, when seated in the piston, can be secured on both sides in the axial direction of the piston along it periphery.
