    摘要: The invention provides a cage for a bearing. The invention further provides the bearing and a method of producing the cage. The cage includes a plurality of pockets at least partially surrounding the rolling elements. The cage further comprises a first material and a second material. The first material is a first printed material printed via an additive manufacturing process that has different properties compared to the second material. The first material is printed in the pockets at a position where, the rolling elements at least occasionally contact the pockets. Using such first printed material allows application of the first printed material at a location where it is needed.

Also included is at least one assembly wire, and each of the cage segments includes a coupling arrangement configured to thread the bearing cage segment onto the at least one assembly wire such that at least one rolling-element pocket is formed by two of the plurality of bearing cage segments adjacent in the circumferential direction that are threaded on the assembly wire. The bearing cage also includes an assembly device configured to convey an end of the assembly wire from an installation position to an axially far-side coupling arrangement of a bearing cage segment, through the axially far-side coupling arrangement of all bearing cage segments located on a bearing inner ring, and back again towards the installation position.

    摘要: A bearing cage assembly (100) comprises a plurality of discrete bridge elements (206) disposed between adjacent rolling elements (112) and coupled between first and second axially spaced cage support wire rings (102, 104) which are appropriately tensioned. Spacers (110) are disposed between adjacent bridge elements and engage the bridge elements in a piloted engagement. The bridge elements maintain a separation between rolling elements, retain the rolling elements within the bearing assembly, and function as a lubrication reservoir for grease lubricated bearings. Profiled surfaces on the bridge elements position the bearing cage assembly on at least one axial end of the rolling elements.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to prevent breakup of segments which constitute a split type retainer for a tapered roller bearing, when the tapered roller bearing is being mounted on target equipment, thereby improving operability in the mounting process. A segment for a tapered roller bearing is provided with a predetermined number of posts between a small-diameter-side end fringe which constitutes a small-diameter-side circumferential edge of a split type retainer and a large-diameter-side end fringe which constitutes a large-diameter-side circumferential edge thereof. Pockets are formed between the posts. At least the large-diameter-side end fringe, out of the small-diameter-side end fringe and the large-diameter-side end fringe, is provided with a large-diameter-side engagement piece. When the bearing is mounted, the large-diameter-side engagement piece is engaged with the large-diameter engagement member fitted and fixed onto the bearing's inner ring, whereby the segment is prevented from breaking up.
