摘要： A flue gas air preheater and a method for the installation of air pipes for a flue gas air preheater. The method includes cutting an air pipe connected to the preheater and detaching the portion of the air pipe that is to be removed from the preheater for replacement; fitting a separate new air pipe in place of the air pipe portion to be removed; and connecting the new air pipe to the remaining portion of the air pipe in a sealed manner. The fixing may be performed utilizing a fastening sleeve fixed to the end of the new air pipe and inserting it in the remaining portion of the air pipe. The fixing may be performed by a mechanical sealing solution without welding. The air pipe component for the flue gas air preheater includes an air pipe, and a fastening sleeve.

摘要： A method of remanufacturing coolers, such as exhaust gas recirculation coolers, is provided. The method includes providing an exhaust gas recirculation cooler having cooling tubes attached to a header plate and an outer shell. At least one opening is milled in the outer shell to expose a portion of the cooling tubes. Brazing material is then injected into the cooler through the opening such that the brazing material, when heated, forms a fillet around each cooling tube adjacent to the header plate. A cover positioned over the opening and the cooler is heated to a brazing temperature, such that the brazing material flows around the cooling tubes, thereby reinforcing the tubes and repairing cracks in the tubes. Clips having a C-shaped configuration may also be positioned within the cooling tubes to further strengthen and repair the cooling tubes.

摘要： According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a part for an article of equipment includes a fluid conducting first region including a corrosion resistant first material, and a fluid conducting second region including a second material. The first region and the second region are either directly or indirectly joined by solid state welding to form a unitary fluid conducting part. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, a method for replacing at least one fluid conducting part of an article of equipment is disclosed wherein a replacement part is provided that includes a fluid conducting first region including a corrosion resistant first material, and a fluid conducting second region including a second material. The second material is substantially identical to the material of a region of the equipment on which the replacement part is mounted. The first and second regions are either directly or indirectly joined by solid state welding to form a unitary fluid conducting replacement part. The replacement part is secured to the article of equipment by a process comprising fusion welding the second material of the second region of the replacement part to the substantially identical material of the mounting region of the article of equipment.

The flow through plug is tapered and creates a press fit when inserted within the heat exchanger tube. The flow through plug has an aperture along its axis, thus allowing for flow lengthwise through the flow through plug.
