Abstract: A package for packing a bicycle is provided by the present invention. The package includes a base and a cover. The base has two positioning grooves, which are respectively formed at two opposite ends thereof. The base is enclosed by the cover such that a receiving space is formed by the base and the cover. Not only can the package of the present invention protect the bicycle during transportation process, the package can also serve as a bicycle stand, a display stand, or a workstation for installing or repairing the bicycle. As such, the package may provide additional and practical functions other than providing protection during transportation process.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a power assisted electric bicycle, a transmission device and a control method. The power assisted electric bicycle includes a body, a wheel, a torque sensor, a motor and a controller. The torque sensor is configured to output a plurality of torque signals corresponding to a pedal force. The controller is configured to: receive the torque signals from the torque sensor; compute and determine a first period according to a speed of the power assisted electric bicycle at a first time point; obtain a first maximum value of the torque signals in the first period that ends at the first time point; and, set a first torque output of the motor according to the first maximum value corresponding to the torque signal.

Abstract: A connecting device includes a base, a locking member, linkage, and a detector. The locking member is rotatably disposed on the base and configured to rotate about an axis to a locked position along a first rotational direction and to an unlocked position along a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction. The locking member has an engaging portion at a peripheral edge thereof. The linkage is rotatably disposed on the base and includes an abutting portion configured to abut against the peripheral edge. When the locking member is rotated to the locked position, the abutting portion is moved to and is engaged with the engaging portion accompanied with a rotation of the linkage. The detector is disposed on the base and configured to detect the rotation of the linkage.

Abstract: A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collects, charges and distributes portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). Vehicle diagnostic data of a vehicle using the portable electrical energy storage device is stored on a diagnostic data storage system of the portable electrical energy storage device during use of a respective portable electrical energy storage device by a respective vehicle. Once the user places the portable electrical energy storage device in the collection, charging and distribution machine, or comes within wireless communications range of a collection, charging and distribution machine, a connection is established between the collection, charging and distribution machine and the portable electrical energy storage device. The collection, charging and distribution machine then reads vehicle diagnostic data stored on the diagnostic data storage system of the portable electrical energy storage device and provides information regarding the diagnostic data.

Abstract: A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). Locations of collection, charging and distribution machines having available charged portable electrical energy storage devices are communicated to or acquired by a mobile device of a user, or displayed on a collection, charging and distribution machine. The locations are indicated on a graphical user interface on a map on a user's mobile device relative to the user's current location. The user may use their mobile device select particular locations on the map to reserve an available portable electrical energy storage device. The system nay also warn the user that the user is near an edge of the pre-determined area having portable electrical energy storage device collection, charging and distribution machines. Reservations may also be made automatically based on information regarding a potential route of a user.

Abstract: Electrically powered vehicles may be equipped with both mechanical braking systems and regenerative braking systems. Regenerative braking systems improve vehicle efficiency by returning a portion of the energy lost in deceleration to the battery of the electrically powered vehicle. An electrically powered vehicle controller that provides collision avoidance functionality can maximize the energy returned to the battery of the electrically powered vehicle by maximizing the use of regenerative braking for collision avoidance. A first braking mode can include only regenerative braking for objects greater than the minimum regenerative stopping distance. A second braking mode can include composite braking using both mechanical and regenerative braking. The electrically powered vehicle controller determines the maximum regenerative braking level at least based on data provided battery charge level or battery state sensors.
