Abstract:
A needle clamp (1) for sewing machine (100) is provided. The needle clamp (1) comprises a body (2) at least partially made of a thermally conductive material and having retaining means (3) for constraining at least one needle (10). The needle clamp comprises a thermoelectric cooling device (5) directly or indirectly constrained to a portion of said body (2).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for the production of a fabric having a unique appearance and the fabric so obtained. Also provided is the clothing articles, i.e. garments, including the fabric. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for producing a woven fabric having a unique, e.g. “used” (i.e. worn-out) or “multi-shaded” appearance and the process includes a step of providing a woven fabric with a layer of bacterial biopolymer, dyeing at least part of the fabric together with the biopolymer layer, and then removing at least part of the bacterial biopolymer layer from the fabric.
Abstract:
It is disclosed a method for producing garments comprising separable portions and at least a zipper sewn onto said separable portions of the garment, wherein said garment undergoes shrinkage, preferably by washing, showing a wavy appearance near the zipper before shrinkage and showing a substantially plane appearance after shrinkage. Said method comprising the steps of providing an elastically stretchable zipper, said zipper in its initial un-stretched condition has the length required for the zipper in the final garment; making a garment having separable portions; stretching said zipper; sewing the stretched zipper onto said separable portions of said garment, and shrinking said garment preferably by washing, wherein after said shrinking step, said zipper is in a substantially un-stretched condition. A garment obtainable according to the steps as above is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The woven fabric according to the invention comprises a warp and weft yarns, the weft yarns comprise first weft yarns and second weft yarns, the first weft yarns and the warp yarns form a base layer of the fabric, while the at least one plurality of second weft yarns forms an additional layer of the fabric that can be broken under a stress without damaging the base layer to change the appearance of the fabric and of the clothing articles made of said fabric.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composite textile article which includes at least one textile, a biopolymer layer on the textile and a textile softening agent on at least part of the biopolymer layer. The textile article may be a fiber, a yarn, a fabric or a garment. The textile softening agent may be macro-silicone, semi-micro silicone, micro-silicone or nano-silicone. The biopolymer layer may comprise a sugar-based biopolymer, an amino acid-based biopolymer, or a mixture thereof. The composite textile article may be an elastic woven fabric or denim garment.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process and apparatus for dyeing of textiles, to an immobilized enzyme comprised in said apparatus required for carrying out the process, and to a method to produce enzymatically indigo and derivatives thereof.
Abstract:
A composite yarn (100) comprising at least two single elastic filaments (101) and plurality of inelastic elements (103), wherein: said inelastic elements (103) comprise a plurality of inelastic filaments and/or a bundle of inelastic filaments; said single elastic filaments (101) and said inelastic filaments (103) are connected to each other by intermingling.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composite yarn (100) comprising at least two bundles of elastic filaments (101, 102) and a plurality of inelastic elements (103), wherein said bundles of elastic filaments (101, 102) comprise a plurality of elastic filaments (150) connected one to the other in a substantially continuous manner, each of said inelastic element (103) is chosen among an inelastic filament or a bundle of coupled inelastic filaments, said bundles of elastic filaments (101, 102) and said inelastic elements (103) are connected to each other by intermingling.
Abstract:
A woven fabric that has the appearance of a neoprene fabric is obtained with a double face fabric in which the warp yarns passes at least three weft yarns on each side of the fabric.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process wherein one or more dye precursors, e.g., indole, are provided to a textile and converted by one or more enzymes, e.g., an oxidizing enzyme, to provide the textile with a dye, e.g. indigo. At least the oxidizing enzyme is a hybrid enzyme including a binding domain that is suitable to bind the enzyme to the textile and/or increase the affinity of the enzyme for the textile, in particular, a cellulose binding domain (CBD).
