摘要: The arc-type evaporator of the present invention includes an anode and a cathode for generating arc discharging, a trigger electrode and a gas supply pipe. The trigger electrode is contacted with the cathode to cause a first spark, and thereafter is separated from the cathode to occur the arc discharge between the anode and the cathode. The gas supply pipe is provided independently of the trigger electrode, and supplies the cathode a reactive gas which reacts with a substance forming the cathode to produce a chemical compound. The gas supply pipe includes a gas blow-out port formed in the neighborhood of the side portion or rear side portion of the cathode to face the cathode. The reactive gas is supplied from the gas blow-out port to an area including the front surface of the cathode.

摘要: A measuring apparatus for speedily measuring a bearing height is disclosed. A plunger of a movable cylinder is extended with a test load P by a constant pressure applying mechanism S. The movable cylinder is ascended from a receded position to a measuring position by a slide cam. A bearing half W disposed on a pushing member is fitted in a receiving cavity of a standard tool in such a manner that an end of the bearing half W slightly protrudes from the receiving cavity portion. When the movable cylinder slightly exceeds the measuring position, a plunger is pressed for the length of the end protruded from the receiving cavity portion. At this point, the bearing half W is held with the test load P. Thus, the bearing height can be immediately measured by a length sensor.

摘要: The present invention aims to solve problems involved in the formation of a conductive or insulating layer in a pattern form by photolithography, i.e., an environmental problem associated with handling a solvent and a problem associated with wastewater treatment in the development with an aqueous alkaline solution. A method for forming a conductive layer (an anode bus 3) or an insulating layer (a barrier 1) on a glass substrate by photolithography using a photosensitive slurry solution prepared by mixing a low-melting glass powder as a binder and a conductive or insulating powder into a PVA-based, water-soluble photosensitive solution, wherein the content of B.sub.2 O.sub.3 component in the whole low-melting glass powder is closely regulated to not more than 6% by weight. This enables coating without gelation of PVA. Unlike the conventional photolithography using a solvent type photosensitive slurry, the method of the present invention can solve the environmental problem associated with handling a solvent and the problem associated with wastewater treatment in the development with an aqueous alkaline solution.

摘要: A motorcycle is provided with first and a second fuel tanks. These tanks are provided with fuel charging ports respectively. Both the fuel tanks are intercommunicated through a communicating pipe. Since the communicating pipe can be shut by a cock, fuel can be charged into both the tanks promptly through both the fuel charging ports. The communicating pipe is provided with a fuel pump actuated by a diaphragm communicated with an intake manifold of an engine. Accordingly, even if one of the fuel tanks is disposed at a location lower than the carburetor, fuel within the fuel tank can be fed to the carburetor via the other fuel tank. The first and the second fuel tanks may be combined to constitute a single fuel tank.

摘要: The insertion of new data into a major-minor loop memory is effected by selectively controlling the passage of bubbles through at least two gates provided between a bubble generator and the major loop. In a two-dimensional array of such memories, the write process is initiated by first applying a transfer signal to a selected row of the memories to transfer the data in the row into their respective major loops for subsequent erasure. Then, a gate signal is applied to a first gate of each memory in the selected row to condition it for write. Another gate signal is applied to a second gate of each memory in a selected column in accordance with the data to be inserted. This arrangement permits new data to be inserted into only the memory of the array that is located at the intersection of the selected row and column.
