    摘要: An exhaust system for a motorcycle having a catalyzer casing that is accommodated in an exhaust muffler. The exhaust muffler is provided at opposite sides thereof in the vehicle width direction with lateral walls that are inclined so as to come closer to each other as they extend downward. A bent section is formed in an intermediate portion, within the exhaust muffler, of an exhaust gas conduit passing through a front end wall of the exhaust muffler and changes the flow direction of exhaust gas from the forward and rearward direction of the vehicle to the vehicle width direction. The catalyzer casing has one end connected to a downstream end portion of the exhaust gas conduit and is arranged in an inclined condition to be lowered as it approaches one side of the muffler in the vehicle width direction.

    摘要: A method for producing a metallic honeycomb body from metallic layers with channels through which an exhaust gas stream can flow, includes providing the honeycomb body with a coating. Such honeycomb bodies are used in exhaust gas systems of preferably mobile internal combustion engines as catalyst carrier bodies, filters, mixers and/or adsorbers. The coating is provided in a two-stage application and enables the production of exceptionally advantageous coated metallic honeycomb bodies, which are distinguished by a large coating surface and a low flow resistance. At the same time, an exceptionally large surface enlargement is provided in the honeycomb body while using a smaller amount of coating. A honeycomb body is also provided.

    摘要: A honeycomb body includes a housing and a honeycomb structure with a plurality of channels. The honeycomb structure is formed by at least one at least partially structured metallic layer which forms connecting points that fix the honeycomb structure in place. A cross section of the honeycomb structure has radial zones with the connecting points. At least 1% and no more than 20% of inner contact points of the at least one at least partially structured metallic layer in the cross section form a connecting point in at least one zone. The connecting points have lengths in a structure direction being different in at least two radial zones.

The heater assembly has a first metallic layer that is applied to the DPF, a resistive layer that is applied to the first metallic layer, and a second metallic layer that is applied to the resistive layer.     摘要: A honeycomb body, in particular a catalyst carrier body, includes metallic foil of high-temperature corrosion-resistant steel with connecting points and an oxide layer with a thickness of 60 to 80 or 70 to 75 nm on each surface. The foil is composed of steel with chromium and aluminum components, particularly 1 to 5% aluminum. The oxide layer is substantially aluminum oxide or γ-aluminum oxide with a uniform thickness having a tolerance of less than 10% or less than 5% on all surfaces. The oxide layer may be on a rolled foil having a mean surface roughness of greater than 0.3 or 0.5 μm or approximately 0.6 μm in rolling direction and/or transversely thereto. The honeycomb body is durable under high loads and has defined connecting points. A foil having an oxide coat and a method for producing an oxide coat on a metallic foil are also provided.

The metallic carrier comprises an aluminum alloy having an aluminum content of 75 to 99.5 percent by mass. The metallic carrier helps achieve an advantageous reduction in the mass of the carrier and thermal capacity, as a result of which the light-off temperature is reached more rapidly. The reduction of mass and thermal capacity is not at the expense of a reduction in the catalytic carrier surface.
