Abstract:
Insulated panels and methods of forming insulated panels are provided. According to the method, mold bulkhead and a sealing strip including a first anchor extension, a second anchor extension, and a panel cap are provided. The method also includes removably attaching the exterior face of the sealing strip to the interior mold surface on at least one of the plurality of mold sides, wherein the first anchor extension and the second anchor extension project into the interior mold volume, and wherein the sealing strip defines a sealed insulation zone. A curable building material is introduced into the interior mold volume to form a first slab. The first slab at least partially surrounds the first anchor extension. The method also includes inserting an insulation material layer into the interior mold volume, wherein the insulation material layer is at least partially within the sealed insulation zone. A curable building material is introduced into the interior mold volume adjacent to the insulation material layer to form a second slab. The second slab at least partially surrounds the second anchor extension. The method also includes the step of allowing the curable building material to cure to provide a cured insulated panel, wherein the panel cap defines at least a portion of at least one of the plurality of intermediate faces.
Abstract:
A temporary checking device is provided that works in conjunction with elements of a vehicle hinge that remain in the vehicle's final configuration. The hinge includes a hinge pin rotatably connecting a door hinge bracket to a pillar hinge bracket. The checking device includes a spring portion that is disposed between the door hinge bracket and the pillar hinge bracket. The spring portion is compressed during movement of the door hinge bracket relative to the pillar hinge bracket from either of two rest positions. The spring portion urges the vehicle door affixed thereto back into one of the rest positions, thus allowing manufacturing operations such as painting, etc., to be performed on the vehicle.
Abstract:
A mass spectrometer is disclosed wherein highly charged fragment ions resulting from Electron Transfer Dissociation fragmentation of parent ions are reduced in charge state within a Proton Transfer Reaction cell 35 by reacting the fragment ions with a neutral superbase reagent gas such as Octahydropyrimidolazepine.
Abstract:
An ion-ion reaction cell is provided comprising a plurality of electrodes (1) forming an ion guide (2). One or more transient DC voltage waves (8, 9) are applied to the electrodes (2). Reagent anions and analyte cations are arranged to undergo ion-ion reactions within the reaction cell and the resulting fragment ions which are formed within the reaction cell are then subsequently translated out of the reaction cell by means of one or more transient DC voltage waves (8, 9).

Abstract:
An exercise apparatus provides a golf stretching exercise which includes trunk rotation exercise, chest expansion exercise, lower body stretch exercise, golf swing simulation exercise, hamstring and calf muscle exercise and latisimus muscle exercise thereby reducing the risk of injury to the user as a result of the golf game. The exercise apparatus is mounted in a support frame which is portable and which includes an umbrella.
Abstract:
A drill resistant lock (30) comprises a bolt member (33) for fitting into a similar sized and shaped slot (35) to secure closure of entry to a property, a locking mechanism (31, 32) associated with a bolt member (33), whereby release and/or closure of the bolt member (33) into the slot (35) is effected by insertion and rotation of an appropriate key in the locking mechanism (31, 32), wherein the bolt member (33) is provided with a core (34) containing a material with different mechanical properties to the main body of the bolt member (33), the material of the core (34) being more drill resistant than the material of the main body.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods are provided for analyzing an episode stored by an implantable medical device (IMD) using prior probability and conditional probability information to determine the likelihood of a particular diagnosis for a given stored episode. Certain embodiments include retrieving information about a stored episode from an IMD, including an episode metric, and retrieving domain expert information about potential diagnoses and episode metrics to determine the likelihood that the stored episode was due to a particular potential diagnosis. Certain embodiments also include retrieving patient information including a patient metric, such as patient demographics, or patient history. Certain embodiments of the invention include the ability to automatically or manually update or change the domain expert information.
Abstract:
A system and method for post-processing of sensing data generated by a medical device that includes transmitting a plurality of stored sensing data generated by a medical device to an access device, the stored sensing data including sensed atrial events and sensed ventricular events. The access device determines, in response to the transmitted data, instances where the medical device identified a cardiac event being detected in response to the sensing data, and verifies, in response to the transmitted data, whether the determined instances should have been identified by the medical device as a cardiac event being detected.
Abstract:
A system and method for determining oversensing during post-processing of sensing data generated by a medical device that includes transmitting a plurality of stored sensing data generated by the medical device to an access device, the stored sensing data including sensed atrial events and sensed ventricular events. The access device determines, in response to the transmitted data, instances where the medical device identified a cardiac event being detected in response to the sensing data, identifies and removes suspected far-field R-waves, and determines whether a signal including the removed suspected far-field R-waves is regular.
