The present invention relates to a method of a base station transmitting a coverage compensation request signal to determine switching to an idle state. The method comprising: transmitting, by the first base station, an idle switching request message for requesting switching to the idle state to a second base station in a compensation group to which the first base station belongs; transmitting a Coverage Compensation Request Message to a compensation base station pre-linked to the first base station in the compensation group; receiving a Coverage Compensation Response Message and an idle state switching response message from the compensation base station and the second base station, respectively; determining whether the first base station and the second base station in the compensation group are to switch to the idle state based on the received Coverage Compensation Request Message and the idle state switching response message.

A method and apparatus for transmitting cell load information in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) of a first system receives cell load information of a cell in a second system, from a radio network controller (RNC) of the second system, and transmits the received cell load information to at least one second eNB of the first system. The first system may be an evolved UMTS terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN), and the second system may be an UTRAN.

A method and corresponding apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system. In the method, a source donor eNodeB (DeNB) transmits a first handover request message for a mobile relay node, to a target DeNB, and transmits a second handover request message for user equipments (UEs) attached to the mobile relay node, to a target eNB. The source DeNB transmits an indication including information on lists of UEs which can be handed over to the target eNB, to the mobile relay node, and the mobile relay node transmits a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message indicating a UE to handover to the target eNB.

A method and apparatus for performing a transport network layer (TNL) address discovery procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) transmits at least one of a TNL address of the first eNB and a TNL address of an X2-gateway (GW), and a source eNB identifier (ID). The eNB may further transmit an indication of X2 setup which indicates whether a direct X2 interface between the first eNB and a second eNB or an indirect X2 interface going through the X2-GW is to be set up.

A MN, in a DC for a wireless device, transmits, to the wireless device, a paging message including an indication related to an EDT procedure for the SN. A MN receives, from the wireless device, an AS-RAI related to the EDT procedure for SN. A MN decides whether to continue the EDT procedure to the wireless device for the DL data or to transit the wireless device to the RRC-CONNECTED state based on the received AS-RAI.

A method and apparatus for supporting an early data transmission (EDT) in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state is provided. The current gNB receives a resume request message including uplink (UL) data from the wireless device, and transmits a logical channel identifier (LCID) for the UL data to the last serving gNB. The last serving gNB transmits UL forwarding user plane (UP) transport network layer (TNL) information to the current gNB based on mapping between the LCID for the UL data and data radio bearer (DRB) ID or protocol data unit (PDU) session ID in a UE context stored in the last serving gNB. The current gNB forwards the UL data to a core network via the last serving gNB based on the UL forwarding UP TNL information.

A method and apparatus for controlling mobile early data transmission (EDT) procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A first core network node, in a wireless communication, receives, from a second core network node, a message for a downlink Data including a size of the downlink data. The first core network node determines whether to initiate an early data transmission (EDT) procedure for the downlink data based on the size of the downlink data. The first core network node transmits, to a radio access network (RAN) node, a paging message including information related to the EDT procedure for the downlink data based on the decision to initiate the EDT procedure for a wireless device.

Provided are a method for a distributed unit (DU) of a base station (BS) to broadcast system information in a wireless communication system, and a device supporting the same. The method may include: receiving system information owned by a central unit (CU) of the BS from the CU of the BS; receiving a request for the system information from a user equipment (UE); receiving a message of a command to broadcast the system information from the CU of the BS; and broadcasting the requested system information.

The present disclosure relates to an access control in a wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a central unit (CU) of a base station in a wireless communication system comprises: receiving, from a distributed unit (DU) of the base station, a list of closed access group (CAG) identifiers (IDs) supported by the DU; and controlling a communication between the DU and a wireless device based on a match between at least one CAG ID in the list of CAG IDs supported by the DU and at least one CAG ID in a list of CAG IDs supported by the wireless device.
