摘要: A light source device in which a discharge lamp, which contains greater than or equal to 0.15 mg mercury per cubic millimeter of the volume of the discharge space, and in which there is a pair of electrodes disposed opposite one another, is connected to a feed device (Ex). The feed device is used to start the discharge lamp and to supply the discharge current to the electrodes. The feed device (Ex) serves an identification function identifying a discharge state of the discharge lamp as a glow discharge state. Further, during the identification of the glow discharge state, the electric power supplied to the discharge lamp is set at less than or equal to twice as high as the nominal electric power of the above described discharge lamp to eliminate the formation of blackening on the inside of the bulb glass during glow discharge.

摘要: There are described a semiconductor device having multilayer wiring and a method for manufacturing the semiconductor device, wherein an interconnection hole for interconnecting an upper wiring layer to a lower wiring layer is formed correctly, thereby improving the reliability of multilayer wiring. A lower silicon oxide film, an upper silicon oxide film, and a silicon nitride film to be interposed therebetween are formed on a spin-on-glass (SOG) film. Enlarged openings for interconnection holes are formed only within the upper silicon oxide film while the silicon nitride film is used as an etch stopper, thereby preventing extension of the enlarged openings to the SOG film.

摘要: A door weather strip with seal lips attached thereto, fitted to a door sash, and provided with a gap of a given magnitude on a vertical plane between edges of respective seal lips of both an extrusion molded part on the side of a roof and an extrusion molded part on the side of a center pillar, a reinforcing rib is provided over the whole length of a seal lip of a molded part, which connects the extrusion molded parts with each other to form a corner section. The reinforcing rib is located on the interior side of an automobile where no elastic contacts with a body panel is being made, thereby preventing the waving from occurring to the molded part.

摘要: A method of inserting into a small-sized accommodating case an elastic body larger than the case by regulating the amounts the body is compressed in vertical and horizontal directions such that the elastic body adheres closely to the inner surface of the case without forming gaps therebetween and a distribution of dense and less-dense parts is generated in the inserted elastic body. First, the elastic body is compressed by pushing two sets of opposite side surfaces thereof by using two parallel clamping hands, respectively. Then, the compressed elastic body is inserted in the case. Subsequently, the elastic body is further compressed in the direction of the insertion. Thereby, the distribution of dense and less-dense parts can be generated in the elastic body without forming wrinkles therein and gaps between the elastic body and the inner surfaces of the ink tank. Consequently, ink supply capability can be raised and printing quality can be improved.

摘要: An information reading device which has no need for mechanically moving a document or its reading portion and which is reliable to read information by using its two-dimensional reading system. A sensor panel is formed of first-layer striped electrodes made of material having high transmissivity and formed on a transparent substrate, a striped amorphous silicone layer laid with stripes disposed orthogonal to the first striped electrodes on the transparent substrate and second-layer striped electrodes made of material having a low transmissivity and formed over the striped amorphous-silicone layer. Photoelectric cells are formed one at each intersection of the first layer electrodes and the second layer electrodes. A thin flat type light source is placed on the bottom surface of the sensor panel and tightly fixed thereto. A plurality of photoelectric cells is two-dimensionally scanned by a first scanning portion and a second scanning portion and obtained current signals are converted into voltage signals by a current-to-voltage converting portion. The voltage signals are amplified by an amplifier portion and reproduced into an original image information by the signal processing portion.

摘要: A driving method for a liquid crystal display element including L row electrodes and K column electrodes in which two kinds of data, data corresponding to a logical "0" and data corresponding to a logical "1", are used to display gray shades. The row electrodes are divided into row electrode subgroups which are selected as a batch. When the row electrode subgroups are selected, they have a positive voltage level with respect to a non-election voltage and a negative voltage level with respect to a selection voltage. A matrix of column vector components in which row voltages are time-sequentially arranged form a display cycle in each of the row electrode subgroups, and such a matrix has orthogonality. Row voltages are dispersively applied in a display cycle in each of the row electrode subgroups. Further, a number of column vector components K is related to a number of row electrodes L such that K is a minimum value satisfying the orthogonality and L is.ltoreq.2.sup.P =K, where K, L and P are integers. A gray shade is then effectuated by displaying a plural number of ON and OFF signs at a specified ratio.

摘要: An improved method for selectively curing a liquid photosensitive resin by masking exposure is provided, wherein rough, uneven or irregular contact is provided directly or indirectly between the masking film and the substrate. Due to this feature, no interfacial cohesion occurs between the lower surface of the masking film facing the substrate and the upper surface of the substrate facing the masking film. Thus, there are no air pockets formed between the two surfaces. Therefore, there is no danger that the substrate will be caused to protrude into the resin layer so that the ultimate printing plate would have an undesirable local decrease in thickness. As a result, by the method of the present invention, a printing plate having a high degree of uniformity in thickness, can be obtained with reproducibility.
