摘要: In today's English education field, English learning typically focuses on reading comprehension and writing. Students learn vocabulary along the way. However, there are many English learners, especially English as a second language students, whose vocabulary levels are often much lower than their reading comprehension levels. Vocabulary learning, often confused by many people as vocabulary memorization, is very critical and more than simply memorizing word definitions. Vocabulary usage, such as reading, listening, speaking, and writing with words, is a critical part of vocabulary learning. In addition, to ensure mastery of learning, these learning materials need to be delivered in a looping process over multiple time intervals over a time span. To help millions of people learning English, I invented a vocabulary learning central English educational system in which learning materials are built around tiered, grouped and expanded words over time intervals over a time span.

摘要: The discloser describes a method of displaying text as a reading training aid to activate a reader's comprehension monitoring. In embodiment, a user is presented with a title on a display, which disappears when text related to the title is shown to the user. After reading the text, the user must decide whether the title, which is no longer visible on the display, matched the content of the text. If a user answers incorrectly, they are presented with a waiting period before continuing. In other embodiments, the text of the paragraph is removed from the display before the user is asked to evaluate a summarization of the text.

摘要: Learning systems and methods of the present disclosure include generating a text document based on a digital file, tokenizing the text document, generating a semantic model based on the tokenized text document using an unsupervised machine learning algorithm, assigning a plurality of passage scores to a corresponding plurality of passages of the tokenized text document, selecting one or more candidate knowledge items from the tokenized text document based on the plurality of passage scores, filtering the one or more candidate knowledge items based on user data, generating one or more structured learning assets based on the one or more filtered candidate knowledge items, generating an interaction based at least on the one or more structured learning assets, and transmitting the interaction to a user device. Each passage score is assigned based on a relationship between a corresponding passage and the semantic model.

摘要: Systems and methods for customizing an educational interactive multimedia presentation based on biometric sensor readings of a user. The interactive multimedia presentation may include one or more educational lessons that are presented to the user. A particular educational lesson may include content related to one or more skillsets the user is learning. By adapting the interactive multimedia presentation based on the user's biometric sensor readings, a customized learning experience may be created for the user.

摘要: A training system (20) includes a memory (34), which holds a general database (36), containing first entries corresponding to training problems and including respective general ranking data based on solutions given by multiple users (22) to the training problems, and multiple personal databases (38), each personal database assigned to a respective individual user and containing second entries corresponding to the training problems and including respective personal ranking data based on the solutions given by the individual user to the training problems. A processor (30) selects the training problems to present to each individual user based on both the general ranking data in the general database and the personal ranking data in the personal database, receives the solutions to the training problems entered by the individual user, and updates both the general ranking data and the personal ranking data responsively to the received solutions.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided herein for selecting and providing educational content to a user. The content may be selected from content pools based on a user's individual characteristics, prior performance, aggregated student performance, and other factors. The system may also record behavioral data associated with the user to refine content selection for subsequent iterations. The system may also predict a student's results and the likelihood of passing or failing.

摘要: Methods and systems for handling speech recognition processing in effectively real-time, via the Internet, in order that users do not experience noticeable delays from the start until they receive responsive feedback. A user uses a client to access the Internet and a server supporting speech recognition processing. The user inputs speech to the client, which transmits the user speech to the server in approximate real-time. The server evaluates the user speech, and provides responsive feedback to the client, again, in approximate real-time, with minimum latency delays. The client upon receiving responsive feedback from the server, displays, or otherwise provides, the feedback to the user.

摘要: Disclosed are systems, methods, and products for language learning that automatically extracts keywords from resources using various natural-language processing product features, which can be combined with custom-designed learning activities to offer a needs-based, adaptive learning methodology. The system may receive resources having text and then determine a text difficulty score that predicts how difficult the resource is for language learners based on any number of factors, including any number of semantic and syntactic features of the text. Training resources labeled with metadata may be used to train a statistical model for determining difficulty scores of newly received text. Resources may be grouped based on difficulty score, and groups of resources may correspond to language learners' proficiency levels.

摘要: A method of providing a task is presented. The method includes receiving, from a task administrator, multiple subjects to be presented in the task and presenting the task in response to a condition being satisfied. The method also include adaptively adjusting a difficulty level of a subject of the plurality of subjects based on a spacing interval, a speed of completing the task, and/or performance of a previous subject level.
