Abstract: Systems and network devices configured to use Stateless Address Auto-Configuration (SLAAC) to provide different internet protocol (IP) address information to user equipment (UE) devices that are connected to the same local area network (LAN). A network device (e.g., default router, etc.) may determine whether a UE device is eligible to receive special treatment based on a link-layer address of the UE device. The network device send the UE device an unicast router advertisement that includes a special prefix in response to determining that the UE device is eligible to receive special treatment. The network device may send the UE device an unicast router advertisement that includes a base prefix for the LAN in response to determining that the UE device is not eligible to receive special treatment

Abstract: In one aspect, an exemplary method for sharing traffic data among a plurality of vehicles includes: a first vehicle receiving current traffic data from at least a second vehicle over a first network protocol; the first vehicle transmitting current traffic data from the first vehicle and the current traffic data received from at least the second vehicle to a roadside unit over a second network protocol; the first vehicle receiving processed traffic data from the roadside unit over the second network protocol, the processed traffic data being based on the current traffic data received from the first vehicle and from at least the second vehicle; and the first vehicle transmitting the processed traffic data received from the roadside unit to at least the second vehicle over the first network protocol.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for performing targeted filtering of network traffic generated by user equipment (UE) devices connected to a customer premise equipment (CPE) device in a communication system that includes a distributed residential gateway. A network server may determine that the communication system includes a UE device that is compromised, misconfigured, or operating outside normal communication parameters, identify the UE device, determine an Internet protocol (IP) address or a media access control (MAC) address of the identified UE device, generate a quarantine request message that includes the IP address or the MAC address of the identified UE device in response to determining that the preconfigured virtual local area network access control list (VACL) on the CPE lists source IP addresses from which the CPE will filter outbound traffic, and send the generated quarantine request message to a bridged residential gateway (BRG) associated with the CPE device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enhancing connectivity for a device backhauled by a wireline communication network. In one embodiment, the device comprises a small-cell or other wireless base station that is backhauled by a DOCSIS system within a managed HFC network, and the method and apparatus enable enhanced connection of user devices serviced by the base station (such as 3GPP UE or CBRS FWA) to a core entity for e.g., authentication and packet session establishment. In one implementation, enhanced Cable Termination System (CMTS) and cable modem (CM) devices coordinate to allocate prioritized service flows to traffic sourced from the base station. These service flows can selectively bypass extant DOCSIS protocols which might otherwise increase connection latency (including connection failure) such as AQM (active queue management) and packet dropping algorithms. In some variants, upstream service flow data rates can also be enhanced through temporary utilization of higher-order modulation and/or coding schemes.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a system includes user equipment in communication with a wireless base station. The user equipment receives resource allocation information facilitating communication of wireless communications in a network environment. The user equipment is operable to: produce a first configured grant communication to include: i) first information specifying attributes (such as a first selected identifier value) of the first configured grant communication, and ii) second information specifying attributes (such as a second selected identifier value) of a second (buffered) configured grant communication to be communicated from the user equipment to the wireless base station after communication of the first configured grant communication to the wireless base station. The user equipment communicates the first configured grant communication to the wireless base station and then follows up with communication of the second configured grant communication to the wireless base station.

Abstract: A communication management resource detects or anticipates occurrence of wireless interference on a wireless channel allocated to a wireless base station to communicate with multiple communication devices. In response to the detected wireless interference, the communication management resource determines a group of the multiple communication devices receiving data of a particular type from the wireless base station. To reduce the wireless interference, the wireless base station notifies the communication devices in the group to operate in a device-to-device communication mode as an alternative path of conveying the particular type of data to the group of communication devices. Thus, during times of wireless interference, instead of communicating a message to each of the wireless communication device in the group, the wireless base station communicates a wireless communication to a first communication device in the group; the first communication device forwards the communication to a second communication device in the group.

Abstract: Providing a coordinated primary media stream with an aggregate supplemental media stream is disclosed. A request is received from an end user device associated with a user for supplemental media. Metadata and a broadcast time associated with a primary media stream transmitted to the end user device are determined. Based on the metadata and the broadcast time, first supplemental media from a first account of the user on a first platform and second supplemental media from a second account of the user on a second platform are determined. The first supplemental media and the second supplemental media are merged into an aggregate supplemental media stream. The aggregate supplemental media stream is streamed in synchronization with the primary media stream.

Abstract: A customer premises parking system including one or more cameras and wireless communications transmission capability is described. The presence of a vehicle with a license plate at an entrance or exit of a parking area is detected and one or more high resolution images are captured and time stamped. A license plate portion of the HD image is captured and stored. The license plate number and corresponding time is determined and communicated using a wide area wireless network. The HD license plate portion of the image is processed to produce a low resolution version of the license plate image which is segmented and processed into fragments which are transmitted via the wide area network using available transmission opportunities. A high resolution version of the license plate portion is stored at the premises where the parking facilitate is located and can be retrieved via a cellular wireless interface in the event of a dispute or discrepancy with regard to the detected and reported license plate number. From the time stamps associated with entrance and exit images of license plates the amount of time and/or date at which a vehicle was present at the parking garage is determined and the vehicle owner billed for the use of the parking facility.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting band steering and/or channel steering in wireless communications systems, e.g. WiFi communications systems, are described. An access point aggregates information, e.g., from messages being communicated between the access point and client devices being serviced by the access point, and generates reports. The generated reports are communicated to a control device, e.g. a radio resource management (RRM) device. In some embodiments, generated reports include one or more of: i) message header information, e.g. resource unit (RU) allocation and/or use information and/or BSS color information, ii) collision reports, iii) received signal strength indicator (RSSI) reports, signal to noise ratio (SNR) reports, iv) interference reports; v) power information; vi) access point measurement information; and vii) access point control information. The control device uses the received reports from APs, in making bandsteering decisions with regard to individual client devices, and channel change decisions with regard to access points.
