Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device, in a first half of one horizontal scanning period, a first data line driver circuit outputs a corrected grayscale voltage obtained by correcting an input grayscale voltage corresponding to input display data to a plurality of data lines, and a second data line driver circuit is electrically disconnected from the plurality of data lines, and in a second half of one horizontal scanning period, the second data line driver circuit outputs an input grayscale voltage corresponding to the input display data to the plurality of data lines, and the first data line driver circuit is electrically disconnected from the plurality of data lines.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of a touch panel includes the steps of providing a substrate, forming a first conductive film on the substrate, forming a first mask on the first conductive film, etching the first conductive film to form electrode portions and lower intersect portions of the touch panel, forming an insulating film made of a negative resist on the first conductive film, and forming a contact hole above the electrode portion by removing the insulating film. The steps further include forming a second conductive film on the insulating film, forming a second mask on the second conductive film, etching the second conductive film to form an upper intersect portion connected between two adjacent electrode portions via the contact hole and intersecting with the lower intersect portion, and forming protective film on the second conductive film.

Abstract: A display panel has a variant external shape. The second substrate includes a first colored portion transmitting light of a first color, a second colored portion transmitting light of a second color, and a light-shielding portion disposed in a boundary area between the first colored portion and the second colored portion, for blocking transmittance of light of the first color and light of the second color. The insulating film includes a first portion overlapping, in plan view, the first colored portion or the second colored portion, and a second portion overlapping, in plan view, the light-shielding portion and being of thicker film thickness than the first portion.

Abstract: A display driving circuit having a shift register is formed on the display panel. The shift register includes a first stage having first and second transistors and a second stage having a third and fourth transistor. A voltage of a control electrode of the first transistor is boosted by a voltage of a first pulse line changing from low to high. In an On state, the second transistor connects the control electrode of the first transistor and a constant voltage line. A voltage of a control electrode of the third transistor is boosted by a voltage of a second pulse line changing from low to high. In an On state, the fourth transistor connects the control electrode of the third transistor and a constant voltage line. The fourth transistor is switched on by a signal from the first stage.
