摘要: A digital camera has an image sensor, and an optical system for focusing a scene on the image sensor. A zooming system is used for changing a zoom rate of the scene that is focused on the image sensor. By operating the zooming system during the recording of a series of images, each of the images has a different zoom rate and therefore a different level of detail and field of view. The images are combined to form one still image of super high resolution. The zoom rate between images is detected by using horizontal and vertical pixel intensity value projection distributions in both forward and backward prediction methods. Horizontal and vertical candidate projection distributions that are correlated to a range of possible zoom rates are compared with the horizontal and vertical projection distributions of the former and current images being processed to determine a least error match that is selected as the zoom rate between the adjacent images. Using the image to image zoom rate, a scaling factor is determined that is used for scaling each current image before overwriting the current image over the former images previously written to the image buffer. In this way, the detail of each image in the series is written to the image buffer and a super high resolution, wide angle still image is formed that can be stored and displayed.

摘要: A cheap, very operable ultrasound diagnosing device capable of forming a panorama slice image in a real time manner is realized. The device comprises: an imaging unit 120 for converting ultrasound data obtained from a probe 200 into an image; computers (130, 140) having a shift amount detecting function of detecting a shift amount between formed images by the operation of the probe 200 and a rotation amount detecting function of detecting a rotation amount between slice images generated by the operation of the probe 200; and panorama image displaying means 150 for displaying a panorama image 151 obtained by connecting the sequence of slice images captured during diagnosis in a plane manner in accordance with the shift amount and the rotation amount detected by the computers in parallel to the motion image display. Thus, the panorama image can be formed in a real time manner from the sequence of slice images obtained by the probe. The panorama image forming state can be recognized on a display momentarily and an erroneous probe operation can be corrected.

摘要: In order to reduce the load on the operator in monitoring a moving object in the moving picture signal supplied from the imaging device, the signal is displayed in one region of the display device. The moving route of the moving object which has entered the view of the imaging device is extracted, based on the signal. The first image data showing the image of a moving route of an extracted moving object is generated, and the second image data showing the image of the moving object is generated based on the signal. The overlapped image of the image of the moving route and the image of the moving object is displayed in another region of the display device together with the extraction time of the image of the moving object. The processing above is repeated to other moving objects which enter the view later on. The overlapped images for different moving images thus extracted are displayed adjacent to each other in the region.

摘要: A system for detecting a point of change between video shots from a video having a plurality of succeeding frames. The system includes video playback apparatus for playing a video chronologically one frame at a time, and a display for displaying the video. The a processing device for calculating a feature quantity of video image data for each frame, determining a first correlation coefficient between a feature quantity of a current frame and a feature quantity calculated from an immediately preceding frame and determining a second correlation coefficient between the feature quantity of the current frame and a feature quantity of at least two frames preceding the current frame, and indicating on the display a point of change between video shots when the first correlation coefficient and the second correlation coefficient are out of predetermined allowable ranges. The correlation coefficients of each frame is stored and can be used by the processing device to dynamically change a reference used for detecting a point of change between video shots. The change in the reference is performed based on the stored correlation coefficients or feature quantities of past frames.

摘要: A moving object is detected from a movie which has a complicated background. In order to detect the moving object, there is provided a unit for inputting the movie, a display unit for outputting a processed result, a unit for judging an interval which is predicted to belong to the background as part of a pixel region in the movie, a unit for extracting the moving object and a unit for calculating the moving direction and velocity of the moving object. Even with a complicated background in which not only a change in illumination condition, but also a change in structure occurs, the presence of the structure change of the background can be determined so as to detect and/or extract the moving object in real time. Additionally, the moving direction and velocity of the moving object can be determined.

摘要: A method of synthesizing a real image and a computer graphic (CG) having a complex shape in which the normal vector of each of two adjacent planes of a rectangular parallelepiped CG circumscribed about the CG having a complex shape is determined from the coordinates of six vertices representing the two planes on the basis of a real image of a rectangular parallelepiped, and parameters for three-dimensional rotational transformation of the rectangular parallelepiped CG required for synthesis are determined on the basis of the normal vectors. A CG having a complex shape for synthesis is produced by rotational transformation thereof on the basis of the parameters, and the CG having a complex shape thus produced is synthesized on the real image.

摘要: A pattern position detecting system includes an image pickup device to pick up the image of an object which includes a target pattern which is to be detected. On the basis of the output of the pickup device, local patterns of the image surface are successively cut out and positional coordinates of the local patterns are successively generated to indicate the typical positions of each of these local patterns. The respective local patterns are then compared with a standard pattern having the same feature as that of the target pattern and the degree of coincidence therebetween is detected. The different degrees of coincidence of the local patterns in the vicinity of a particular local pattern are then compared so as to successively sample the local pattern whose degrees of coincidence become a maximum, and the positional coordinates and degrees of coincidence of the respective local patterns whose degrees of coincidence become a maximum are then stored. The positional coordinates fulfilling the positional relationship inherent to the target pattern from among the positional coordinates finally selected are then sampled and the sampled positional coordinates are identified as indicating a position of the target pattern.
