摘要: A volume/tone control circuit comprises first and second latch circuits (8) and (9) for latching the volume control data BD and the tone control data TD stored in the shift register (7); a volume regulating circuit (2) and a tone regulating circuit (3) for regulating the volume and the tone of the input audio signal according to the respective output data of the first and second latch circuits (8) and (9); and a zero-crossing detection circuit (12) for detecting zero-crossings of the input signal. The input audio signal is fed to the zero-crossing detection circuit (12) when a data detection circuit (20) detects that the input data and the output data of the first latch circuit (8) differ. The output audio signal of the tone regulating circuit is fed to the zero-crossing detection circuit (12) when the input data and the output data of the second latch circuit (9) differ and they control data of either the first latch circuit or the second latch circuit is updated in response to the detection output of the zero-crossing detection circuit.

摘要: A method of detecting an ultraviolet laser beam, which includes irradiating a detector with the ultraviolet laser beam to produce photoluminescence from the detector, and sensing the photoluminescence. The detector includes a specific polysilmethylene compound or a specific polysiloxane compound. A method of recording an information is also disclosed which includes exposing a photosensitive layer to an ultraviolet laser beam according to the information. The photosensitive layer includes a specific polysilmethylene compound or a specific polysiloxane compound. By irradiating the exposed photosensitive layer to a reference ultraviolet laser beam, the recorded information is read.

摘要: There are disclosed a thermal insulating foamed material, which is superior in thermal insulating property and does not cause deterioration of the thermal insulating property with a time lapse, and a method for producing the same. According to a method for producing a thermal insulating foamed material, a foamed polyurethane resin composition having closed cells, in which at least carbon dioxide is filled, is formed by blowing a raw material mixture containing epoxides comprising at least two members of an epoxide compound having high reactivity with carbon dioxide and an epoxide compound having low reactivity with carbon dioxide, a carbon dioxide fixation catalyst, polyisocyanate, a reactive blowing agent which evolves carbon dioxide by reacting with said polyisocyanate, and a polyol composition. Then, the carbon dioxide in the closed cells is allowed to react with the epoxides in the presence of the carbon dioxide fixation catalyst, thereby to fix carbon dioxide as carbonate compounds.

摘要: A color liquid crystal display device is constituted by a first substrate having thereon a plurality of scanning electrodes, a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate and having thereon a plurality of data electrodes intersecting the scanning electrodes, a liquid crystal disposed between the scanning electrodes and the data electrodes, and color filter segments of at least three colors including red, green and blue disposed so as to form color display pixels each at an intersection of the scanning electrodes and data electrodes. The color filter segments of at least three colors respectively comprise a colored resin segment and are disposed on one of the first and second substrates having fewer electrodes thereon. As a result, the occurrence of defects, such as inclusion of foreign matter leading to short circuit between adjacent electrodes, during the color filter production step can be minimized, thus providing an improved product yield as a whole.

摘要: A liquid crystal device is constituted by a pair of oppositely spaced substrate each having on its opposite surface a group of stripe electrodes disposed to intersect with those disposed on the other substrate, and a liquid crystal disposed between the substrates so as to be driven by a voltage applied through the stripe electrodes. The group of stripe electrodes on at least one of the pair of substrates are formed through a lithographic step including dividing the stripe electrodes into at least two divisions at a line parallel (or perpendicular) to the extension of the stripe electrodes, and repeating a pattern exposure for each division of the stripe electrodes so as to dispose a joint between the divisions of the stripe electrodes at a non-display part including a spacing between two stripe electrode on the same substrate (or at a part in alignment with a non-display part including a spacing between two stripe electrodes on the opposite substrate). In an embodiment, the liquid crystal device is provided with a dummy electrode pattern for promoting the liquid crystal injection.
