    Abstract: The present invention is designed so that synchronization can be adequately established even when a band to use is limited to a narrow band than the minimum system bandwidth (1.4 MHz) that is supported in existing LTE. According to one aspect of the present invention, a user terminal, in which a band to use is limited to a narrower band than the minimum system bandwidth supported in an existing LTE (Long Term Evolution) system, has a receiving section that receives a signal that is divided into a plurality of periods and transmitted, in a predetermined narrow band that overlaps a frequency band in which an existing synchronization signal is transmitted, and a control section that performs a synchronization process by identifying the signal that is divided into the plurality of periods and transmitted as being a synchronization signal that is generated by using a predetermined sequence, wherein the signal that is transmitted in at least one period in the plurality of periods is a portion of the existing synchronization signal.

    Abstract: The present invention is designed to carry out communication adequately in cells (for example, unlicensed bands) where listening is executed prior to transmission. The present invention provides a transmission section that transmits a discovery measurement signal including first reference signals for channel state measurement, based on the result of listening, and a control section that controls resource allocation of the discovery measurement signal, and the control section assigns the first reference signals to be extended greater in a direction of time than existing second reference signals for channel state measurement.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, low-latency communication in a next-generation mobile communication system can be achieved.
