Abstract: A wireless cellular network system comprising MME configured to send a first create session request to SGW-C, the SGW-C configured to select SGW-U and transmit a first resource request to the selected SGW-U, and the SGW-U configured to, upon a receipt of the first resource request, allocate an IP address and TEIDs of the SGW-U, and transmit a resource message including the IP address and the TEIDs of the SGW-U to SGW-C. A method of SGW-C in a wireless communication system, the method comprising receiving, from MME, a first create session request, selecting SGW-U among a plurality of SGW-Us, wherein the selection is based on a location of a terminal, transmitting a first resource request to the selected SGW-U, receiving, from the selected SGW-U, a resource message including an IP address and TEID of the SGW-U, the IP address and TEIDs being allocated by the selected SGW-U.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for saving on managed resources and a device therefor. A communication method of a terminal, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the steps of: determining whether a terminal and an MME are both capable of attaching without creating a PDN connection; in case the terminal and the MME are both capable of attaching without creating a PDN connection, determining whether a condition for not creating a PDN connection is satisfied; and in case the condition for not creating a PDN connection is satisfied, transmitting, to the MME, an attach request message including information associated with a request for not creating a PDN connection.

The method includes detecting an intersystem change from an S1 mode to one of an A/Gb mode and an Iu mode, detecting that a routing area update (RAU) has failed detecting that a successful generic location updating procedure has not been performed since the detected intersystem change, and triggering an MM specific procedure based on detecting that the RAU has failed and the successful generic location updating procedure has not been performed. The MM specific procedure corresponds to a location area update (LAU).

Abstract: Provided are a communication method and system that combine the 5G communication system with IoT technology to support a data rate higher than that of the 4G system. A method is provided that enables the terminal and the 5G network to check each other's capability information to achieve interworking between network slices defined differently by different mobile network operators. The method includes receiving system information associated with a network slice; transmitting, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) entity of a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN), a first message, in case that the system information is associated with a base station corresponding to the VPLMN; and receiving, from the AMF entity, a second message including allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) for the terminal.

In one method, a base station, also referred to as eNB, receives a non-access stratum (NAS) message from user equipment (UE), and transmits a first initial UE message having the NAS message to a first mobility management entity (MME). Also, the base station receives a redirection request message having the NAS message from the first MME, and transmits a second initial UE message having the NAS message to a second MME. In another method, the MME receives the first initial UE message having the NAS message from the base station, and transmits the redirection request message having the NAS message when the MME fails to support a dedicated core network according to UE usage type information. If the redirection request message is transmitted, a second initial UE message having the NAS message is transmitted to a dedicated MME.
