    摘要: An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus using holography comprises a signal generation unit that modulates input data, adds at least one control bit to each group of N bits, performs an NRZI-modulation on the modulated data, determines the at least one control bit such that a digital sum value of the NRZI-modulated data is 0, performs NRZI modulation on the data whose at least one control bit was determined, and rearranges the data to generate 2-dimensional data; a pickup that records the 2-dimensional data in a hologram disc and reproduces the 2-dimensional data from the hologram disc; and a signal processing unit that corrects the 2-dimensional data reproduced by the pickup, performs NRZI-modulation on the 2-dimensional data that has undergone a binarization operation, removes the at least one control bit added during the recording, and demodulates the data according to a modulation rule used during the recording.

    摘要: An optical disk reproducing device for controlling false detection of synchronization signals due to intersymbol interference, and stably improving accuracy of frequency acquisition of a phase locked loop (PLL) even when offset and so on occur. A signal width close to an original mark length is obtained to use for frequency acquisition of the PLL by, for example, using two different slice thresholds and taking a width between a rising of a result of slicing at one threshold and a falling of a result of slicing at the other threshold as a synchronization signal width. When asymmetric properties due to offset, asymmetry, etc. occur, an amount of corrections on the slice threshold is calculated, and it is reflected on a threshold previously set to always obtain a correct synchronization signal width.

    摘要: In a recording apparatus capable of performing a curing process at high speed by curing a plurality of books at a time during recording and capable of performing recording of a recordable type, when recording is stopped once, the unit of books to be cured at a time is set smaller than that during continuous recording, in order to realize inexpensively both performing a curing process at high speed in hologram recording and realizing recording of a recordable type freely in a book unit. It is therefore possible to terminate recording in the unit of arbitrary books irrespective of the unit of books to be cured, and perform recording of a recordable type without loss.

    摘要: The present invention provided methods for treating lung cancers using therapeutic agents for lung cancers comprising erbB receptor inhibitors as active ingredients. Methods for examining the responsiveness of lung cancer patients to erbB receptor inhibitors by using blood amphiregulin (AREG) as an indicator were provided. Furthermore, methods for treating lung cancers in which responsiveness to an erbB receptor inhibitor is determined based on blood AREG concentration, and in which therapeutic agents are selectively administered to patients expected to be responsive, were also provided. Advanced therapeutic effects can be expected by administering an erbB receptor inhibitor to patients predicted to be responsive. The present invention contributes to the improvement of therapeutic effects of gefitinib (Product name: Iressa®) and such on lung cancers.

    摘要: The invention features methods for detecting prostate cancer, especially hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC) or castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), by detecting over-expression of PKIB or NAALADL2 compared the normal organs. Also disclosed are methods of identifying compounds for treating and preventing prostate cancer including HRPC, based on the over-expression of PKIB or NAALADL2 in the prostate cancer, the cell proliferation function of PKIB or NAALADL2, the intracellular localization of PKIB or NAALADL2 or the interaction between PKIB and PKA-C. Also, provided are a method for treating prostate cancer by administering a double-stranded molecule against the PKIB or NAALADL2 gene. The invention also provides products, including the double-stranded molecules and vectors encoding them, as well as compositions comprising the molecules or vectors, useful in the provided methods.
