    Abstract: A multimedia information appliance includes a camera unit, an image display unit, and a multi-port memory. The camera unit includes an image sensor, an image signal processor, an application processor, and a multi-port memory. The image sensor is configured to receive an optical signal of a photographed image from a lens, and to convert the optical signal into an electrical signal. The image signal processor is configured to convert the electrical signal into an image signal, and to control the image sensor. The application processor is configured to process the image signal. The multi-port memory includes a plurality of data input/output ports and stores signals received from the image signal processor and the application process through different data input/output ports.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus that permits alteration of print data during execution of a print job for the print data stored in an external apparatus. Upon generation of an interruption job during execution of the print job for the print data, an MFP suspends the print job. If free space in a memory is less than the capacity required for execution of the interruption job, the MFP erases the print data in the memory and carries out the interruption job. When the interruption job is completed, the MFP transmits to another MFP a request for transmission of copy data of the print data and restarts the print job for the copy data of the print data transmitted from the other MFP in response to the transmission request.

    Abstract: When image shooting is performed in a mode that records plural images in response to a single shooting instruction and deletion is instructed on a shot-image confirmation screen that displays the shot image data immediately after the shooting, the plural image data generated by the same shooting instruction are all collectively deleted. On the contrary, in a playback mode, when deletion is instructed to one of the plural image data shot by the same shooting instruction, only the one image that has been instructed for deletion is deleted. This feature improves usability of the image sensing apparatus capable of recording plural images in response to a single shooting instruction.

    Abstract: When a photographed image is recorded using a detachable recording medium having a transmission function, to easily distinguish an image corresponding to the transmitted image and an image corresponding to the image that has not been transmitted yet, when the image data is recorded in the recording medium having a wireless communication unit, the image corresponding to the transmitted image and the image corresponding to the image that has not been transmitted yet are separated and stored in separated folders formed on the recording medium. For example, the image data is stored in the DCIM2 folder and the DCIM folder. When the image data is stored, the image data corresponding to the transmitted image data is reduced and stored in the DCIM2 folder, while the image data corresponding to the transmitted image data is deleted from the DCIM folder.
