    摘要: An engageable toothed or jaw clutch is disposed in each of two parallel power transmission paths of a reduction gear unit. One of the clutches is a self-engaging main clutch having a synchronizing device and the other is a subsidiary clutch without a synchronizing device. The engageable clutch splines or gearing of each clutch are helically toothed and have substantially no clearance or play. Both clutches are interconnected by a converter or actuating mechanism with substantially no play. The converter or actuating mechanism translates the engagement motion of the main clutch into an engagement option of the subsidiary clutch.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a marine propulsion device including a drive shaft housing mounted for vertical swinging movement about a horizontal axis relative to a boat, a propeller shaft rotatably mounted in the drive shaft housing and having an axis of rotation, and a propeller carried by the propeller shaft. The marine propulsion device also includes a first bevel gear mounted in the drive shaft housing and in coaxial relation to the propeller shaft, a second bevel gear mounted in the drive shaft housing and in coaxial relation to the propeller shaft, and a clutch mechanism for selectively drivingly connecting the bevel gears to the propeller shaft. The marine propulsion device also includes an annular thrust flange extending from the propeller shaft and for transmitting axial thrust from the propeller shaft to the drive shaft housing.

    摘要: A marine reversing gearing having a drive shaft, a forward clutch, a forward pinion coaxially arranged with respect to the drive shaft and capable of being coupled therewith by means of the forward clutch for forward travel. Two intermediate gears continuously mesh with the forward pinion, there also being provided two intermediate pinions which are rigidly connected with a respective one of the intermediate gears. A large gear continuously meshes with both intermediate pinions. There are also provided a reverse clutch and a rearward pinion which is coaxially arranged with respect to the drive shaft and can be coupled therewith by the reverse clutch for rearward travel, and two reversing pinions are driven by the rearward pinion. The intermediate gears meshing with the forward pinion exclusively transmit power as forward gears during the forward travel. Both of the reversing pinions mesh with the rearward pinion and with a respective rearward gear, and each of both intermediate pinions also are fixedly connected with one of the rearward gears.

    摘要: An improvement in a clutch control of a reversing gear arrangement for a Z-drive for watercrafts. The reversing clutch coupling includes two beveled pinion gears which act onto a common driven bevel gear. The reversing coupling consists of two alternately engageable friction couplings, the friction members of which are compressed onto one another by rolling elements to reinforce the engagement force. The friction members are movable against a resilient force provided by flexible elements, such as cup springs which engage the opposite side of the clutch pack from the friction members.
