    摘要: A reverse gear for watercrafts includes an input shaft that receives rotational power of a main engine. A forward/reverse switching mechanism includes a reduction function and switches the rotational power of the input shaft among forward, neutral, and reverse states. An output shaft outputs the rotational power of the forward/reverse switching mechanism and rotates at a rotational speed that differs from a rotational speed of the input shaft due to the reduction function of the forward/reverse switching mechanism. A reduction mechanism includes a fixed reduction ratio, and reduces the rotational power of the output shaft and transmits the reduced rotational power to a propeller shaft. A forward/reverse housing accommodates the forward/reverse switching mechanism. A reduction housing accommodates the reduction mechanism. The forward/reverse housing and the reduction housing are detachably coupled one behind the other in an axial direction of the output shaft.

    摘要: A reverse gear includes an input shaft, a forward clutch, a reverse clutch, an output shaft, a reduction mechanism, and a relay shaft. The input shaft receives rotational power of a main engine. The forward clutch transmits the rotational power of the input shaft as forward output. The reverse clutch transmits the rotational power of the input shaft as reverse output. The output shaft outputs the rotational power transmitted via the forward clutch and the reverse clutch. The reduction mechanism reduces the rotational power of the output shaft and transmits the reduced rotational power to the propeller shaft. The relay shaft intersects the input shaft and relays the rotational power from the forward clutch and the reverse clutch toward the output shaft. The relay shaft and the output shaft are coupled to each other via a pair of intersecting-shaft gears to be able to transmit power.

    摘要: A vessel propulsion apparatus includes an engine that rotates a crankshaft in a forward rotation direction, a rotation speed detector that detects a rotation speed of the crankshaft, a propeller shaft coupled to a propeller, a shift switch that switches between a shift-in state and a neutral state, a shift state detector, an intake passage, a throttle valve, an intake pressure sensor, and a controller. The controller determines that the crankshaft is reversely rotating by an external force input from the propeller shaft when a predetermined reverse rotation recording condition is satisfied, and stores reverse rotation information. The reverse rotation recording condition includes a condition that an intake pressure after the shift switch switches from a neutral state to a shift-in state while the crankshaft rotates in the forward rotation direction is larger than a value equal to or higher than atmospheric pressure.

    摘要: A drivetrain for a marine propulsion device includes an engine driving a crankshaft in a first direction, and a driveshaft connected in torque-transmitting relationship with the crankshaft and supported for rotation about a driveshaft axis. The drivetrain further includes a propeller shaft rotatable about a propeller shaft axis. A gearset and a selector clutch are configured to couple the propeller shaft and the driveshaft to each other in torque-transmitting relationship. A one-way clutch is disposed along the drivetrain upstream of the gearset. The one-way clutch prevents rotation of the crankshaft in a second, opposite direction so as to prevent ingestion of water by the engine via an engine exhaust system.

    摘要: A bearing arrangement to reduce the effects of thermal expansion in a marine transmission includes a pinion gear thrust bearing, a clutch shaft thrust bearing, a shaft roller bearing and a thrust washer. The clutch shaft thrust bearing is retained on one end of a clutch shaft and the shaft roller bearing is retained on the other end of the clutch shaft. A pinion gear is rotatably retained on the clutch shaft. The pinion gear thrust bearing is retained on the pinion gear with a bearing retainer. The thrust washer is retained on the bearing retainer. An end of the clutch shaft thrust bearing rotates relative to the thrust washer and makes contact therewith. The length of thermal expansion in the transmission housing is limited to the distance between the opposing ends of the two thrust bearings.
