Abstract:
Methods and computer-storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that facilitate determining enhanced query suggestions are provided. A plurality of query suggestions responsive to a user query are received. Items of data corresponding to the query suggestions are received. Based on the received query suggestions and the received items of data, enhanced query suggestions are determined. In embodiments, an enhanced query suggestion includes one or more items of data related to a respective query suggestion. A user may select at least a portion of an enhanced query suggestion. In embodiments, selection of a portion of an enhanced query suggestion provides additional information.
Abstract:
A flow cell for a microfluidic device can include a chamber, first microfluidic entry and exit channels, second microfluidic entry and exit channels, a first electrode, and a second electrode. A microfluidic device can include a microfluidic channel, a laser to excite fluorescent material, and a detector to detect fluorescence emission. Methods of merging a droplet from an emulsion in to a second stream of fluid and of detecting a content of a droplet in a stream are further disclosed.
Abstract:
A dual-mode input apparatus is disclosed and includes a panel, a processing module, and an image-capturing system capable of capturing images in front of the panel. The image-capturing system can capture a touch input image and a gesture input device by an image-sensing component and a light-modulating component. The processing module processes the sensed images to determine input information. Alternatively, the image-capturing system can include an image-capturing device capable of rotating relative to the panel. The processing module is therefore capable of controlling rotating of the image-capturing device so as to capture a touch input image and a gesture input image selectively for the processing module to determine input information. Therefore, the dual-mode input apparatus of the invention can provide two input modes by use of the same image device, which overcomes the limitation of a conventional single image-capturing system being applied only to a single input architecture.
Abstract:
A ruggedized fiber optic connector assembly includes a substantially hollow plug housing; and a glue body disposed within the substantially hollow plug housing; wherein the glue body includes a first portion that is configured to engage and retain an optical cable comprising an optical fiber and one or more strength members; wherein the glue body includes a second portion that is configured to engage and retain a connector sub-assembly comprising an optical ferrule; wherein the second portion of the glue body includes a pair of opposed snap hooks that are configured to engage a corresponding pair of opposed recesses of the connector sub-assembly; and wherein the optical fiber and the optical ferrule are optically coupled.
Abstract:
A circuit for detecting out-of-band signals is disclosed. In one embodiment, the circuit includes a first differential circuit configured to level shift and positively rectify a differential input signal to produce a first output component of a differential output signal. The first differential circuit is further configured to generate and provide a common mode voltage of the differential input signal as a second component of the differential output signal. The circuit further includes a second differential circuit configured to level shift and output first and second fixed voltages based on an input reference voltage and a ground voltage. The circuit is configured to provide the differential output signal and the first and second fixed voltages to an indicator circuit configured to assert an indication responsive to detecting that a differential voltage of the differential output signal is greater than a differential voltage of the first and second fixed voltages.
Abstract:
A system and method for registering three-dimensional images with two-dimensional intra-operative images includes segmenting (24) a tubular structured organ in a three-dimensional image of the organ, and projecting (26) the three-dimensional image of the organ into two-dimensional space to provide a projected image. A medical instrument depicted in a two-dimensional image of the medical instrument is segmented (28). A similarity score is computed between the projected image and a shape of the medical instrument depicted in the two-dimensional image to determine a best match. The projected image is registered (30) to the two-dimensional image based on the best match.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for identifying compounds that modulate the activity of p300/CBP. Compounds of the invention are identified by designing or screening for a compound which binds to at least one amino acid residue of the newly identified lysine-CoA inhibitor binding site, L1 loop, electronegative pocket, or electronegative groove of the HAT domain of p300/CBP and testing the compound for its ability to modulate the activity of p300/CBP. Compositions and methods for preventing or treating diseases or disorders associated with p300/CBP are also provided as is a method for producing a semi-synthetic HAT domain.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a cationically and hydrophobically modified polygalactomannan having repeating units with a D-mannosyl to D-galactosyl residue ratio of at least 5 to 1 and to compositions containing same. A portion of the hydrogen atoms of hydroxyl groups situated on the mannosyl and galactosyl residues of the galactomannan are replaced with a hydrophobic substituent and a cationic substituent.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for providing query-completion suggestions configured to be searched against vertical information domains in response to receiving a general web search query are provided. At least a portion of a general web search query is received. As the portion of the general web search query is received, query-completion suggestions are determined as is a likely primary intent associated with at least a portion of the determined query-completion suggestions. If the likely primary intent associated with a particular query-completion suggestion is for information associated with a particular vertical information domain other than the general web domain, the query-completion suggestion is provided such that selection thereof causes searching of the query-completion suggestion against the particular information domain for search results.
