    摘要: A vortex blower having an impeller provided with an annular recess laterally opening around an axis of rotation, a casing disposed so as to face the impeller and cover a radially outer portion of the impeller, an arcuate recess formed around the rotation axis in a portion of the casing which extends between a suction port and a discharge port and opposes to the annular recess, and a plurality of blades provided in the annular recess to divide the recess into a plurality of circumferentially arranged pockets, each having a radially outer end extending towards the arcuate recess beyond the annular recess. The vortex blower having such a construction can operate safely even when drawing air in which dust is suspended.

    摘要: In an electrolytic treating on a strip of metal, namely electroplating, electrolytic degreasing or any other electrolytic treatment on a strip of metal, in order to fludify the liquid between the plane parallel plate electrodes immersed inside the tank or between the plane parallel electrodes and the metal strip passed therebetween by jetting the liquid from the nozzles into the tank, a plane dummy plate or plates are arranged between the nozzles and the plane parallel plate electrodes to adjoin the electrodes and extend in the direction of the nozzles in the same planes as the electrodes to thereby prevent the damping of the jet flow velocity. Moreover, the plane parallel plate electrodes have their edges on the nozzle side arranged in positions at which the half-value width of the nozzle jets from the nozzles overlap each other to thereby ensure a uniform distribution of the jet flow velocity.

    摘要: A neat arrangement such as a pack of bills or like sheets to be counted is placed on one of their longitudinal edges in a sheet stand formed on the top of the casing of a sheet counting apparatus. An infeed mechanism comprising first and second infeed rolls frictionally feed the sheets one by one into the apparatus. A pair of sensing rolls are mounted under the second infeed rolls for sensing the passage thereover of each sheet thus fed into the apparatus and hence for actuating a counter switch. The thus counted sheets are successively loaded on a conveyor mechanism at one end thereof and are thereby transported toward the other end, where the successive counted sheets are stacked for recovery purposes. The apparatus further comprises an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the position of the sheets in the sheet stand and in the recovery mechanism according to their size and a stop motion mechanism for instantly terminating the infeeding operation of the sheets.

    摘要: To identify antigens of the 2D7 antibody, the present inventors cloned the 2D7 antigen. The results suggested that the 2D7 antigen is an HLA class I molecule. Based on this finding, the present inventors examined whether the 2D7 antibody has cell death-inducing activity. Nuclei fragmentation was observed when the 2D7 antibody was cross-linked with another antibody, indicating that cell-death was induced. Further, diabodies of the 2D7 antibody were found to have very strong cell death-inducing activities, even without the addition of another antibody. These results indicate that minibodies of an HLA-recognizing antibody can be used as cell death-inducing agents.
