摘要: In a motor vehicle, a strut is arranged between the cowl cross member and the center console cross member. The strut is supported in the cowl cross member on a junction element by way of a holder. The junction element includes a profile element and a structural foam part arranged above the latter, which structural foam part swells as a result of a heat treatment, and a precisely fitting filling-out of the interior of the cowl cross member is achieved.

摘要: A bone plate includes an upper surface, a bone contacting surface, and at least one hole extending through the upper and bone contacting surfaces. The bone plate defines a longitudinal axis. The at least one hole defines a central axis and is elongated in a direction substantially aligned with the longitudinal axis. The hole may include a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion, and the threaded portion may extend through an angle of between about 190° and about 280° with respect to the central axis.

摘要: A connection in wood frame construction such as in frame walls of homes, wood framed apartment buildings and light wood framed commercial buildings. Specifically, the disclosure describes a pair of connectors for joining wood studs to a wood single base plate and to a wood double top plate for framing a wall. The two connectors used in the connection are identical and include a stud member for connection to the edge face of the stud, a plate member for connection to the edge face of the respective plates and a transition member connected at one end to the stud member and the other end is connected to the plate member. A pair of tabs connected to opposite side edges of the transition member engage the sides of the stud and a pair of prong locators serve the dual purpose of locating the connector at the lower end of the stud in relation to the base plate and for temporary and permanent attachment of the connector attached to the upper end of the stud to the top plate.

摘要: A process for changing the speed of a vehicle with driving wheels and with a continuously adjustable speed/torque characteristic in the drive train, in particular a vehicle with electric motor drive, corresponding to a change in the position .alpha.(t) of an accelerator pedal carried out by the driver of the vehicle, in which every position .alpha.(t) of the accelerator pedal is associated with a determined drive output P.sub.v (.alpha.)=f.sub.1 (.alpha.).times.P.sub.max (where P.sub.max =maximum drive output of the vehicle) and/or driving torque M.sub.v (.alpha.)=f.sub.1 (.alpha.).times.M.sub.max (where M.sub.max =maximum driving torque of the vehicle) which is desired in the sense of a predetermined value and acts on the vehicle. To provide a process and a device for implementing the process permitting the driver to change the actual speed of the vehicle to a different desired value in the most uncomplicated and reliable manner, the predetermined value P.sub.v (t) and/or M.sub.v (t) is converted for an electronic drive control of the vehicle, the reference value P.sub.s (t) or M.sub.s (t) is changed to the predetermined value P.sub.v (t) or M.sub.v (t) within an adjustment time period, wherein the reference value P.sub.s (t) or M.sub.s (t) is formed by addition from an initial proportion proportional to the predetermined value P.sub.v (t) or M.sub.v (t) and a residual proportion changing over time.
