    摘要: A dynamic addressing display device includes a display panel and generates a number of dot data signals and data clock signals equal to the number of picture elements per row required to display one character on the display panel. It is therefore not necessary to generate extra dot data signals or data clock signals representing additional data driver bits greater than the number of picture elements per row required to display one character on the display panel. A data driver is coupled to the display panel for driving a plurality of data electrodes of the display panel. The number of data clock signals is counted by a data clock counter. When the number of clock signals counted equals the number of picture elements per row required to display one character on the display panel the data clock signals are modulated by a data clock adder to shift the clock signals an amount of bits equal to the additional number of outputs of the data driver. The resultant clock signals are sent to a shift register. Then, the data stored in the shift register is shifted in sequence with the modulated clock signals to drive the data electrodes. Thus all the data signals generated to display one character on a display panel are used.

    摘要: A thermal printer which always performs a satisfactory printing operation regardless of whether a ribbon cassette mounted for printing houses an ink ribbon for hot release mode printing or an ink ribbon for cold release mode printing. Hot release mode printing is satisfactory for printing normal printing papers, while cold release mode printing is satisfactory for printing OHP (overhead projection) papers. The printer is capable of sensing the difference between ribbon cassette having an ink ribbon for hot release mode printing and a ribbon cassette having an ink ribbon for cold release mode printing, when mounted on the printer for printing. The printer upon sensing the type of ribbon cassette mounted, then adjusts its components, if necessary, so that they are configured in locations appropriate to perform satisfactory printing according to the type of ink ribbon housed in the ribbon cassette mounted. Alternatives include moving a carriage on which the ribbon cassette is mounted toward and away from a platen against which the paper to be printed is placed, moving the location of the ribbon cassette toward or away from the platen against which the paper to be printed is placed, and moving an arm which may guide the ink ribbon after it passes the thermal head.

    摘要: There is provided a sheet feed control method for feeding sheets at a predetermined pitch to the printing section of a printing machine that comprises a sheet feeding roller and a pair of small rollers provided one upstream and the other down stream and pressed against the outer periphery of said sheet feeding roller to sequentially catch and convey sheets, said sheet feed roller being rotated by means of a transmission gear mechanism driven by a source of driving force, said control method being characterized by that it is so designed as to be capable of calculating the time when the rear edge of a sheet passes between said sheet feed roller and said upstream small roller and offsetting or compensating for the preceding backlash of said transmission gear mechanism by modifying said pitch when the rear edge of said sheet passes between said sheet feed roller and said upstream small roller by an amount that corresponds to the amount of the backlash. A sheet feed control method according to the present invention can be effectively used for preventing any unintended blanks and overlaps of printing from occurring and ensuring an excellent quality of printing.
