Abstract:
A filter assembly includes housing enclosing a replaceable filter element. A support core is provided in the housing, and includes an extension and locking assembly. The element includes a ring of filtration media with a pair of end caps. The first end cap includes a central opening to receive the support core. The extension and locking assembly prevents the cover of the housing from being attached to the housing body without a proper filter element installed. The extension and locking assembly includes a bypass member and a locking member, which are in locking engagement when an element is absent in the housing. The second end cap includes internal protrusions which engage the locking member when the filter element is installed to disengage the bypass member from the support core, and allow the element to be inserted and the cover to be installed.

Abstract:
A lamp assembly configured to inductively receive power from a primary coil. The inductively powered lamp assembly includes a lamp circuit including a secondary and a lamp connected in series. In a first aspect, the lamp circuit includes a capacitor connected in series with the lamp and the secondary to tune the circuit to resonance. The capacitor is preferably selected to have a reactance that is substantially equal to or slightly less than the reactance of the secondary and the impedance of the lamp. In a second aspect, the inductively powered lamp assembly includes a sealed transparent sleeve that entirely encloses the lamp circuit so that the transparent sleeve is fully closed and unpenetrated. The transparent sleeve is preferably the lamp sleeve itself, with the secondary, capacitor and any desired starter mechanism disposed within its interior.

Abstract:
A cap for a filter includes an interior filter-contacting surface which frictionally engages an outer surface of the filter. Opposed to the interior surface is an exterior gripping surface having an average surface roughness ranging between about 0.025 mm and about 4.6 mm (peak to valley).
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a fluid filter having a housing assembly defining a chamber through which fluid to be filtered can flow between an inlet and an outlet, a filtering assembly within the chamber through which fluid moving between the fluid inlet and fluid outlet passes, and a cover assembly. The housing assembly has an opening through which at least a part of the filtering assembly can be directed into an operative position within the chamber. The cover assembly seals the opening. The housing assembly has a housing body and a base plate connected to the housing body. The base plate is secured to the housing body through at least one weld and a plurality of mechanical fasteners.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a WTS closure assembly that is easily and quickly secured to and removed from the filter chamber of a WTS. The closure assembly of the present invention provides a bail handle attached to the closure and which utilizes a mechanical advantage, preferably in the form of a pivoting handle which presses a plurality of cams onto the WTS housing, thereby breaking a seal between the closure assembly and the WTS filter chamber, and lifting the closure away from the filter chamber.
Abstract:
A flow through drain filter for removing trash, sediment, liquid hydrocarbons, and metal ions comprised of at least four concentric screens having a deionizing filter material disposed between an exit screen and a second middle inner screen and hydrophobic and liquid hydrocarbon absorbent material disposed between first and second middle screens and a sediment capture space between the first middle screen and a trash exclusion intake screen.
