Abstract:
A modular blind transport system for a window blind application. The complete system may be assembled form a relatively small number of individual modules to obtain working systems for a very wide range of applications, including especially a category of counterbalanced blinds wherein a relatively small external input force may be used to raise or lower the blind, and/or to open or close the blind.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compounds of formula I: wherein X is S, O, or NR5, along with salts thereof and compositions containing the same. The compounds are useful as, among other things, crop protection agents to combat or prevent fungal infestations, or to control other pests such as weeds, insects, or acarids that are harmful to crops.
Abstract:
Methods for preventing damage to epithelial tissue during PDT induced using a photosensitizing agent or pre-photosensitizing agent are provided. The methods of the present invention utilize spatial confinement to control photoactivation of the photoactive species to protect the epithelial tissue. In one embodiment, epithelial tissue surrounding a targeted treatment site can be protecting by decreasing the oxygen-content in the tissue, thereby preventing the conversion of the photosensitizer into the phototoxic species in the epithelial tissue.
Abstract:
A process is provided to stabilize and/or reactivate an olefin production catalyst system which comprises contacting an olefin production catalyst system, either before or after use, with an aromatic compound.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for dynamically changing an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Responses to a menu of prompts are monitored. A presentation order of the menu of prompts is automatically updated according to a set of rules. The set of rules describe qualifications for dynamically changing the menu of prompts.
Abstract:
Compositions, systems, and methods for providing smudge resistant and durable ink-jet images having good optical density are provided. Specifically, a system for printing durable ink-jet ink images can comprise a first ink-jet pen containing an ink-jet ink and a second ink-jet pen containing a fixer composition. The ink-jet ink can comprise a first liquid vehicle and a colorant. The fixer composition can comprise a second liquid vehicle, and from 0.5 wt % to 5 wt % of a cationic copolymer of an epihalohydrin and an amine. Upon overprinting or underprinting the fixer composition with respect to the ink-jet ink on a substrate, a durable image can be formed.
Abstract:
A coolant tube and electrode are adapted to mate with each other to align the tube relative to the electrode during operation of the torch. Improved alignment ensures an adequate flow of coolant along an interior surface of the electrode. In one aspect, an elongated body of the coolant tube has a surface adapted to mate with the electrode. In another aspect, an elongated body of the electrode has a surface adapted to mate with the coolant tube. The surfaces of the tube and electrode may, for example, be flanges, tapered surfaces, contours, or steps.
Abstract:
A spool (12), for supporting a fiber optic coil (14) and a shield (118) surrounding the spool and fiber optic coil, includes a centrally placed, bolt-receiving opening (29). The shield includes a lower shield portion (20), which supports the spool and the fiber optic coil, and an upper shield portion (118). The upper and lower shield portions are arranged to interfit with each other at an interface (121). The upper shield portion has a centrally placed fastener-receiving opening (124) which is alignable with the centrally placed, bolt-receiving opening of the spool. A bolt (156) has a head (156a), a shank (156b) and a threaded end (156c, 156d). The bolt head is engageable with the spool through intermediary structure (48). The shank is insertable through the centrally placed, bolt-receiving opening (29) and the lower shield opening (26), for radially centering the assembly and its components. The threaded end is disposed to engage a threaded opening (68) in a gyroscope assembly support (66). A threaded, centrally placed opening (156e) is located in the bolt head. A screw (164) is couplable with the upper shield portion and screwable into the bolt head threaded opening for securing the upper shield portion both to the lower shield portion and to the bolt.
Abstract:
A plural component spray gun (10) is designed for spraying quick setting materials such as foams and the like. A mix module (14) plastic material provides at least twice the life with ½ the wear of currently marketed mix modules and is made of poly ether ether ketone reinforced with graphite and PTFE lubricants.
Abstract:
An inkjet printing system for use in offset printing comprises a fixer fluid and an ink. The fixer fluid comprises a fixer polymer and a first fluorosurfactant package having a fluorosurfactant and a hydrocarbon surfactant. The ink comprises a charged dye and a second fluorosurfactant package. Methods for improving print quality in offset printing using the inkjet printing system and the fixer fluid are also disclosed.
